Not a lightweight lens, but superb quality and fine balance

A very fine EL series lens. It is a push/pull type without the zoom rotor which weakens the main tube and often causes it to bend slightly. It is nicely balanced and is well fitted to all of my Canon Cameras and has no mould or other damage to it's lenses. Outstanding lens - best built Canon lens - a huge leap from earlier version

It took Canon a long time to come up with a MKII version of this lens, which was well worth the wait. This lens is outstanding value for money and a HUGE improvement on the earlier iteration.
