Easy, reliable, incredible photos

I spent three months considering a semi-pro camera before settling on the Canon EOS 6D. The main selling point for me was the full-frame sensor. It's not cheap, but as they say, you get what you pay for.
I also bought the 100-400 telephoto and the 100 mm macro, both the more expensive "L" models, but purchased used on Ebay for about half price. Again, the L lenses are twice the price, but you get virtually silent auto-focus.

I love the solid way the canon lenses mount. The external dimension of all three lenses is the same, so you can use easily move a filter from one lens to the next. The lens hoods are nicely designed so that they can be mounted backwards OVER the lens for storage. The storage/carrying case for the 100-400 zoom is very solid, with a good belt loop that makes it possible to carry the lens protected on your hip.

I haven't tried many of the features (wireless, flash, timed release, etc.) but I've read about them and know that they will work well. For anyone wondering about photo quality, simply do a web search for Canon EOS 6D photos and you'll find plenty. Look for the fantastic Youtube video made by Canon for a really professional example of what this camera can do.

Still a great camera in 2021!

Already own a Canon 7D but needed cleaner high ISO performance. This purchase worked out perfectly. No need for the newer cameras...they all perform the same at high ISOs. Now I can shoot up to ISO 25600 and clean them up with DxO Deep Prime. Probably go even higher but havent needed too...Read full review...

All Around Great Camera

Great camera all around. 6 years old now, but still holds up in ever way. Does great in lowlight situations, easy to use, and stellar image quality. No complaints here.

Top Quality Camera

Excelent Buy!!!., awesome low light shots, sharp day light images. Very happy with 6D. Best full frame entry level, unless you are kind of sporting photography.

Excellent lens, comes with pretty good camera.

All in all, it's a great camera. I replaced my Canon EOS 7D for this one for recording HD Videos, and the Full Frame feature plus the lens (red ring) have been a great improvement. The only problem I find is a lot of moiré effect on my videos (as opposed to the 7D). I read some reviews and found that this has been one of the biggest complaints about the camera, concerning video. So I think you're basically getting a great lens, which comes with a camera. This particular item was delivered in perfect condition, but it took a bit longer to deliver than I had expected.Read full review...

Happy with it!

I already have a Canon 7D and I have decided to make the step to full frame. I think there are two situations in witch this is a perfect camera - one like mine when you already have a second - fast focus - fast shooting camera and this is an addition to complete the kit and to permit the significant other to get involved in photo shooting; The other situation when this is perfect for you is when you just don't need fast shooting - for peisage portraits perhaps astrophotography (I plan to test it with my Celestron telescope for some deep sky imaging). But if you plan to shoot sports wild life ... it might not be the best option.Read full review...

Great overall camera. Would not say flawless, but near it!

This was my first full-frame professional entry level DSLR. And I'll be honest, sometimes I think I should've just went with the 5D MKII. The lowlight performance and movie quality on this camera is lacking compared to the 5D MKII. I haven't used any of the neat-o features such as the GPS on the Camera yet to be honest, and I don't think I will much. Aside from that, the still shots are amazing, and are same if not better than 5D MK II. I'm still learning though, but overall it is definitely worth the money. Since the MKIIs are getting phased out, I'd say this was definitely the better pick since it had more features and the body itself was cheaper. ( Well for me it was. ) I would recommend for anyone looking into Full-Frame DSLRs.Read full review...
