A great classical SLR for a backpacker
You can do better for a camera...you can do worse. Important to me was the built in pop-up flash and photo taking RAW image files. Weight---I'm a backpacker so this being Canons lightest weight EOS was critically important. I happily worked my SL-1 to death (counter rolled over 3 times.)
