great camera and bargain

I've had three of these cameras, the one just purchased being #3. The first one met its functional end when it got slammed to the ground as I fell backwards while photographing a concrete pour at a friend's home construction. The second one still works, but is badly scratched and mode icons are worn off the camera body. The third is like new and was a great bargain, a mile above the smart phone camera mania that's taken over the world. Canon digital camera

I like the Canon Powershot A580 dig camera very much because the screen is large and so easy to see pic you just took. Also, all the software and books are fairly understandable for a novice and I was able to get it into my computer easily. It only takes 2 AA batteries (raather than 4) and it works very nice.
