Excellent camera with great zoom, that takes incredible pictures...

Excellent camera by Canon with great zoom(50x), optical stabilization, high sensitivity and as a result perfect pictures. I was looking to find a camera(without removable photographic objective) with the above three features and I think I found the best choice to me. I don't have much practice with it yet, but by now it is the best to me. I know there are two main disadvantages with it - lack of auto panorama mode(typical for Canon) and lack of 3D pictures. Well for the first one I plan to use supplied software or one of many available panorama creation programs. And this works to me ok. The second disadvantage is not big deal to me - lack of 3D pictures - I don't like done pictures and they look too bad to me, so I'm not interested in this. But if you need this, maybe you need another camera.Read full review...

Great "Bridge" Camera

The zoom lens alone is worth the price of admission! You can capture the craters of the moon with this camera. It's very good for nature photography. Getting amazing shots of birds and animals without disturbing their habitat is easy with this camera. Amazing camera without the high price.

We bought this camera due to the features. Love the zoom but make sure you use a tripod for the full zoom as the pictures will be a little blurry. The pictures this camera takes is amazing !!! The only thing I really do not like about it is that sometimes I get in a hurry and snap the pictures before it has a full chance to focus to bad it does not have a faster focus time...it is more me than the camera. I would most defiantly buy Canon again. This a the perfect camera for any one that is just an everyday picture taker that wants to take amazing pictures but does not want to buy an expensive camera.Read full review...

Super Camera, my second onee and Fun to use

This is my second SX50HS, because my wife took my first one. The Canon Powershot SX50HS is one of the best cameras for anyone that wants to grow and learn photography. The camera has all the features you will need. One great feature is the 1200mm lens. It's a GREAT CAMERA. Would I recommend it, You bet. I have 4 friends who own one. It's light and fun to use. I use this when I don't want to take my Canon 7D w/100-400mm lens. Be sure to buy a second battery( Battery life is good) Set it up for the 72mm filters.Read full review...

Good value for a great camera.

Zoom is amazing; feature after feature after feature (the user's guide is over 200 pages) --- some are difficult to master (keep the guide close by). It's way too easy to hit some buttons by accident. It's a fun camera to use...."customize" one shot a dozen different ways. I sure wish it would double expose. Overall, I am very pleased with the camera. It fits me and exceeds my needs/wants. I am looking forward to many years and lots of great pictures.Read full review...

Canon PowerShot SX50 HS

To put it simply, this camera produces outstanding pictures! The processor and sensor in this camera were the perfect combination (also the same combo in the Elph 330 HS, another incredibly impressive camera), much better than the SX60 HS that followed. I took this camera on an Alaskan cruise, choosing to leave my EOS 7D at home a few years ago, and am glad that I did. I took a couple thousand pictures and was most impressed with my results. Don’t be discouraged by the cheap, plasticky feel...this camera will deliver superb results! It’s great up to ISO 1600, and usable at 3200. Subject tracking is also good at reasonable speeds. Awesome Camera for the Money. Many Features not found in this price range!

Excellent Value for the Money. It even does Raw and JPEG Formats which I will have to experiment with. The one problem I found and no solution is I could not get the Kodak Software to work with My Dell Optiplex 745 using windows XP. After repeated attempts and blue Screens of Death I gave up using the software. I even formatted it to no avail (my computer and camera). I still can download photos with USB Card Reader so everything is fine. This camera has many features not found in this price range. From the first shot I could tell it was a professional model. Excellent Picture Quality. I have owned 2 Nikon Point and shoots and they both died (electronics) and also a Kodak. I have always like my Cannon Cameras and doubt if I will ever buy a different brand again.Read full review...

Canon Powershot SX50 and 60 HS cameras are the best

I have used the Canon powershot sx30 the sx50 and the sx60 HS. Love them all. Easy to use I shoot photos while the car is moving along at 50 mph and still can get nice clear landscapes and photos of old buildings that are falling down. I have at least ten friends that have bought the same kind of camera for their personal use because they see how well my photos come out ..Read full review...
