Ultimate Product. Most satisfying Product I have ever got.

Celestron Nxyz is the most satisfying Product I have ever got from my online shopping experience.
I ordered it online without seeing it.
It really good beyond my expectation.
I m a user of Celestron 130EQ.
It's my hobby to point a telescope in night sky.
I m using telescope since I was just 11 year old. In year 1996.
Now I m 32.
It's my lifelong dream to take a photos of what I actually see through telescope.
But because of high budget of expensive telescope in those days which have the provision of camera fitting, I never fulfilled my wish.
After purchasing new less expensive telescope too (upgrading), it was out of reach for me to buy SLR/ DSLR.
I purchased one DSLR finally after I got good job.
It's Nikon D5300.
And also all other celestron accessories example: Delux Tele-Extender plus T-ring adapter, so that I can fit camera to my telescope.
It takes good picture with camera but Tele-Extender is design so badly, I struggle a lot to change the lens of my telescope after fitting camera on it.
Focus and sharpness of images is also not that good in camera.
I was disappointed.
So I thought let's give a try to Celestron NXYZ.
And the result is quite surprising.
With my Samsung Note-8, I can take a fantastic images. More clear and sharper than Nikon Fitted on my Telescope.
It's very light weight compare to DSLR fitting to Telescope.
And changing lens is just 30 sec job.
I m so much Happy to get this product.
Sometime I feel that I have wasted the money in buying DSLR for Night Sky Telescope photography.
May be one day on Internet I will find some good product to fit DSLR to Telescope compare to Celetron Tele-Extender.
Because there is one advantage of DSLR over Samsung Note-8.
That is DSLR have better ISO and shutter speed setting compare to Samsung Note-8.
But DSLR will work good only if you want to take a very Faint/ dim celestial object for photography.
My Note-8 and Celestron NXYZ is a very powerful combination for night sky photography of Planets and Andromeda.
But you need to go in really pitch Dark area where there is no light pollution and clear sky.
Note-8 have good settings of Aperture, ISO and shutter speed setting.
The only negative thing I find in NXYZ is there is play (very little) in sliding mechanism.
That play cause some shaking movement after fitting you phone onto it.
That can be ignored.
I hope celestron will make it more firm at sliding part.
Example: sliding part of Vernier Caliper.
I m writting so much because I m very happy to buy this product.
Just this Celestron NXYX and any good quality smart phone will take good photo. That too In less budget. No need of DSLR for photography of night sky.
Dear friends, just give a try to this product before buying a DSLR for your Telescope night sky photography.
AAAAA+++++ Rating to Celestron NXYZ.
THANKS a lot.

A little tricky to use, but far better than trying to hold the phone for photos

So, I think this adapter is well designed. The problem is that this is just not the optimal way to take astro photos. Also, for my particular situation, it's not optimal because my telescope is controlled by a phone app. This makes it difficult to slew around and make find adjustments if I'm trying to take photos with the phone that I am also using to control the mount motor.

I'm working on a solution using a separate dedicated device for controlling the mount and using my phone for photos. I think that will work better.

The clamp works well. The adjusters to position the phone so the camera is seated over the lens are designed well and not hard to use.

Lens holder of distances.

Ok I wanted to see a sunken boat at a distance so I purchased this holder. It's easy to connect and the adjustments find the lens image. I do recommend using a tripod as the image will bounce around when hand held. So now I can read the name on that boat and see it close up. I took a moon picture it filled my phone camera screen and I can see the crater in detail compared to the phone zoom alone.Read full review...

Well built and easy to use

Before putting it to your eyepiece if you take the time to look it over, you won't even need the directions. It's a fairly intuitive design. Adjusting the clamp pressure to your eyepiece is simple, as is adjusting the location of your phone's camera lense.
The only issue people might find is with the multiple camera lense configuration on phones. You'll have to choose which sensor you want to use and then align the phone properly. But that isn't a failing on this adapter, and the adapter makes it easy to adjust for those issues.
Very solid device, and useful for any level of astronomer, or those who wish to view more terrestrial objects.

Exactly what I needed

I've not actually had the chance to use it yet... apparently in astronomy, and as a newbie I wasn't aware of, but there's this thing called "The Curse of Clouds". It's when you buy anything astronomy related, you'll be subjected to weeks of cloudy nights! Well, like they say, Live and Learn. So far though from what I've been able to tell, it's going to work exactly as it's described. Quality wise, it's really well assembled and no loose parts (like I've read in other reviews). Hopefully soon I'll be able to use it!!Read full review...

Works well on different eye pieces.

Originally, I bought a cheaper cell phone adapter and it was very difficult to get it aligned properly to take a picture through the telescope or binoculars eye piece. Frustrated I found this Celestron three axis adapter on sale for $40 and it worked great the first time straight out of the box. I know part of the problems I had with the cheaper adapters was related to the thick OtterBox phone case, but that was no problem for this adapter.Read full review...
