Probably the best DMM value available.

I gave this five stars for everything in perspective of its price range. Obviously, the quality of the meter and its test leads won't be the same as for a more expensively priced multimeter. I have a lot of professional experience with multimeters and this one is surprisingly good. Even if you have a good meter, getting one of these to toss in the tool kit for your car or whatever can be handy. But just be aware that the test leads are minimal to so be rough on them. One surprising detail is the AC frequency response when measuring AC voltage. The specification say up to 450 Hz I think. But it actually works well up to over 10 kHz. Of course, it isn't "True RMS" reading for AC and is accurate only with a sine wave (like house line voltage) and will read, for example, the expected 11% too high if measuring a square wave. But it is predictable. Unlike many other inexpensive meters, this one has a large number of Ohm ranges which is nice (many have just two ranges). Read full review...

Very good meter for what it costs

It is a low cost multimeter. I’ve had one before. It did everything I needed it to do. Unfortunately I tried to take a measurement when I had it on the wrong setting and I fried it. That’s the one drawback to the meter. It will be damaged if it isn’t set to the proper range. A higher quality meter would not have been damaged that way. But I don’t fault the meter. If you make sure it is set to the correct range for what you want to measure it will serve you well. I had my first one for a year and a half and used it almost every day.Read full review...

Better than expected.

Good value for the money. All features work great. Better than expectation. Just what I need to troubleshoot without breaking the bank.

A fine value

I work on Lionel trains. This multi-meter is used on a daily bases by me for a multitude of electrical testing of components and circuits. I recommend this affordable meter to anyone that works with or has a hobby that involves electrical testingRead full review...

BEST CHEAP MULTIMETER ON E-BAY!

THESE ARE VERY, VERY CHEAP AND NOT SUITED FOR HEAVY DUTY OR INDUSTRIAL APPLICATIONS. HOWEVER, IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR AN INEXPENSIVE METER FOR OCCASIONAL AUTOMOTIVE OR AROUND-THE-HOUSE USES, THIS IS YOUR BEST BET. IF YOU LOSE IT OR SOMEONE STEALS IT, SO WHAT. IF YOU BREAK IT, SO WHAT. BUT, IF YOU NEED ONE WHENEVER, IT'S THERE. SO WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO BUY?Read full review...

Handy Household Meter

This handy little meter has all the features you need around the household such as measuring resistance, voltage and status of dry cells. Extremely good value for the price. I even use it for fixing vintage radios. I bought one several years ago and it still works fine. This is my second purchase so that I now have a meter at each of two different locations.Read full review...

Volt Ohm Meter

We use meters around here all the time, for automotive, computer, and general electronics stuff. We came up missing a few meters, so I hit the net. I found these.

They're 5 bucks apiece. Are they the same quality as a top-line Fluke? No. But for general purpose electronic/automotive work, these are damned good meters. Easy to read, very accurate, and they even include transistor testers. We bought 2. Best 10 bucks I've spent in ages.

It screames PLEASE DON"T BUY ME!!!

After only using it a few times the probe broke off and now I'm back to square one. You get what you pay for, sure, but sheesh! I thought it would hold me over until I got a new one. Big mistake. I will admit that it was cool that it came with batteries already, but still. You're better off saving money in the long run by getting one that won't break after two or three uses...Read full review...
