I like the "Left to Right"

I only had one indicator that had Balls on the left, and Strikes on the right, the way we call them, and I was kind of in a fix when I lost it. I did have three other indicators, but they were all Strikes first, and that threw me off. All people get accustomed to certain patterns, and doing things a certain way. I am accustomed to using the indicator that shows balls, strikes, outs, and innings with balls on the left, and strikes on the right. I was pleased to find these, and at such a good price.

I've tried the fancy, expensive "metal" indicators, and I was not pleased. I paid $20 for such an indicator, and it didn't even last a season before on of the metal spokes on the inside broke off, and the indicator was pretty much useless. I was able to take it apart, and "Jerry Rig" it to work well enough, but it still wasn't right. With the plastic indicators, however, I have never had such problems.

The plastic never corrodes, it never clogs with dirt if you happen to drop it, and it's always just as good as any indicator you can buy for helping you keep track. This one has the "optic" color surrounding the numbers, but I don't find any advantage in that, either. It is still just as difficult to see at night games. What I do instead of relying on the color to make the indicator more visible is I "cut grooves" in the plastic wheels so that I can tell with a feel what the count is. The most difficult one to cut is the ball wheel because you have to keep track of up to three balls. I usually cut three ridges for that. With strikes or outs, I just cut two valleys, one at the top of the wheel and one at the bottom of the wheel. Just keep track of the position of the number on the wheel because they don't always come around in the same spot. It seems odd, but it's true. With a little practice, though, you can tell just what the count is without having to look at your wheel too much, and evaluators like that.

Getting three of thee for less than $10, and knowing I've always got reserves represents a great value to me. Most other indicators were at least $5 each.

This Indicator is the way to go!

I like the left to right balls and strikes. It makes it easier to read and call out the pitch count quickly.
