Great Series with lots of laughter

I started watching these series a couple of months ago and had to keep getting the next year. Great characters and good story plots. I wondered how they could get all those stories out of a bar....but they do and they are clever. This is more like a social bar with a restaurant upstairs.
I would recommend it as mostly clean...no bad words and it makes me laugh which is great to have every day. I watch one episode a day as hour after hour it could be too much. I think if you like comedy and a mixture of characters you would like this series. Read full review...

A must for serious Cheers fans

One of the greatest sitcoms in TV history and it's not just based on the innumerable awards it was nominated for and had won over it's 11-year run. The first year is particularly worthwhile to Cheers fans because it was virtually ignored by the viewers although praised by the critics. Unless you are a late night TV nostalgia fan, most people (myself included) did not see the early episodes and these DVDs really set the tone for the entire series. Even after years of watching reruns, there were still a few that I did not see and they were as great as ever. The Normisms, Coach, and Sam are sharp and witty and the humor is timeless. Cheers is an upbeat place where you will recognize someone you know in real life.

Sam's bar is inhabited by wonderful characters. I'm glad I bought the original casting group as they built this show into a beloved series of seasons.

Recent Hilarious Guilty Pleasure

I absolutely love this show! I recently discovered it on the late night Hallmark Channel line-up. The characters blend so well, their comedic timing is spot on and the chemistry between Sam (Ted Danson) and Diane (Shelley Long) is hard to find in any other on screen couple.
