Worth the Effort to Learn a little Cisco IOS


Admittedly a heavy duty industrial switch like this is over-kill for my home network. The cost was less than most all unmanaged, 24-port, new, 1 gig switches, and I get to play around with Cisco IOS. A separate VLAN for a PC and streaming tv in my man cave made the effort well worthwhile.

Good price but old IOS version

This switch appears to have been pulled directly from a production environment and was very dusty externally and internally. When first powered on, a huge cloud of dust was blown out from the fan.>
The most disappointment was that even though it claimed "IOS 15.0" in the item title, the switch was received with IOS 12.2.
