Great for deploying PoE devices

I run networks with a lot of different gear from any number of manufacturers, and nothing keeps on running like the Cisco gear. This switch is a solid, reliable performer. 100Mbps networks may be a bit dated now with the flood of cheap Gigabit stuff that is running around, but if you're deploying PoE devices such as VOIP phones or IP cameras, wireless access points etc, then this is a great option. 48 10/100Mbps ports and 2 Gigabit uplinks will be more than enough to handle those sorts of duties. Full management with Cisco IOS is a definite plus. These switches have cooling fans that can be a bit noisy so make sure you have a good place to mount it, for instance in a closet or somewhere out of the way where the noise won't bother you.Read full review...
