Fun way to learn a new language while driving.

Last year I learned French through a Pimsleur course and loved it. So i bought this Pimsleur Dutch course as a christmas gift for my husband, who is american. I am Dutch, living in the US, and my husband has been kind of wanting to learn Dutch but never found the right way to do it. After various visits to Holland, my friends and family, he had only mastered one phrase and a few single words. So now it is two weeks after Christmas. He uses the cd's in the car on his half hour commute to work and back home and he is speaking Dutch and loving the learning experience !! He should write the review but he doesn't do computers. My husband is really into it, understands what he is listening to, I can actually understand what he is saying in Dutch !, I am totally thrilled. no pain learning experience!
recording goes at a normal spoken speed,
so one has to focus on keeping up,
however, there is enough of repetition
-as it goes ahead- and -in case of trouble-<br>one can always repeat the lesson!!!
interesting language!!! (criss-cross between
German & English) -nice clear voices ...
i -personally- have a picture memory - so, for me, the learning process comes faster through my eyes -not my ears!!!! and i would prefer to visualize words ....

Pimsleurs Conversational Dutch

The best part of Pimsleurs method is the ease and simplicity. you learn the language just by hearing it as we all learned our native language, Pimsleur shows us how with an obvious and focused approach, which is very basically hearing and repeating the language, rather than learning boring grammar rules and verb contradictions, when learning the language in such a natural way is not only fast and easy, but the language stays with u for much longer. It is also a much more fun and enjoyable experience. i have been listening to pimsleurs dutch every day for around 3-4 hours and feel confident after only a week that i can understand and speak the basics for dutch and very much enjoy and will continue to learn dutch using the pimsleur method, overall i would rate this product as excellent 10/10Read full review...
