still one of the best FPS around

3 years after its release this game still impresses me. it's fun, it's fast, it's furious. if you are new to FPS games you are going to get owned as the talent level on this game is prettyhihg on most servers. plus without knowledge of the maps you will fall prey to inadvertently walking out in areas which are flat out kill zones. one of the things i like about this game is that it is easy for small time designers to come up with interesting custom maps. you don't have to wait for the developers to come up with something every 6 - 12 months or so and then pay extra for the content. custom maps are downloaded before a game quickly if you don't already have the map in your CS directory. the file sizes are small and you won't wait long for the map to be downloaded. there are still tons of servers out ther eplaying counter strike and you wont have trouble finding a server any hour of the day or night. it does take practice to get good at this game and also to find out which weapons are your fav but it's worth the investment in time.Read full review...

Solid game 5 stars

Counter-strike has held my attention for years now. It started back when I played Team Fortress Classic, a half-life 1 mod. CS was soon released. I enjoyed it, but my heart stayed with TFC. Later down the road TFC sorta died and so I moved over to CS 1.6. Source came out and it stole my heart away. I have been playing Counter-Strike Source online since it came out. I probably dedicate 10 hours a week to this game because it is so addicting. Graphics are overall pretty good, not the biggest strong point. But the style of the game, the teamwork, the fun, the maps, the quality of servers and the availability, can not be topped by any other first person shooter I'm aware of. I would recommend this product to any PC gamer.Read full review...

A Must Have Classic

I started this game when i was younger and it grew on me. It is quite difficult at first but once you start to play you get so addicted its so easy to want to practice. It can be disappointing at times. There are a lot of fun mods for the game such as surfing or gun-game, and this offsets the disappointment. If your into tournaments this game is also great for that. Clans in the game are also quite diverse. Whether you want a laid back clan, or just a group of friends to play with, you'll find one. The interface is quite similar to other FPS games that i have played. Hit-boxes have improved as of the older edition CS 1.6. but they can be a bit off at times. The game overall is a great game. I caution everyone though it is quite time consuming and will take you a LONG time to get good enough to be competent in the game. Counter-Strike Source is a First Person shooter. I have played this game for quite a while now. I currently own 4 Servers that you can play on using CS:S on. Personally I think the game is better online over doing the missions they have. Do not play it on Dialup Connection your Ping will exceed most server limits. Counter Strike = Best FPS game EVER made

Even though the game is getting pretty old, it’s still one of the best games I’ve ever played in my whole life. Heck, I still play it, and it has done me good ever since I have bought it. My friend convinced me into getting Counter Strike: Source so we could play online together. At first I thought the game wouldn’t be that good, but then I started playing and realized how great the game was. I met many new people online, and we eventually ended up as real-life friends. Counter Strike: Source is an action packed, ground breaking game. It’s worth spending you’re money on. Best First Person Shooter Game out there

It is the Best Legendary Game that puts you as a Terrorist or Anti-Terrorist forces for online play.
To be the oppressors and bomb or hold hostages or be the secret force good guy team that Free's hostages and defuses bombs. From CT to T you will have you favorites and love the use of the Weapons with each weapon having a certain defining trait. I say that last statement Just don't take the game as being 100% reality for truth on the weapons because it is not.
I wish everyone could play this game, Just hate how there is so so so many hackers in it. I only play non hacks to get skills and it can happen it just takes time, many people get aim bots etc. They get there cd-key banned if the are found violating, but you can say the same to our government and how it handles what it calls the criminal element, there always will be many caught but the ones that master hacks and cheating and turn it off and on etc. will always be around in counter-strike, just don't corrupt yourself because the feeling when you smoke a known hacker with pure skill give you great prestige, and you can possible get on a team that wins Thousands + money for playing and dominating in this game . Counter Strike Source, is the classic game of Good Vs Bad,
you can be either a terrorist or a Counter-Terrorist, Terrorists have to plant the bomb, Counter-Terrorists need to difuse the bomb. If your not good at first, don't worry with thousands of servers you can build your skills on many servers then pick one to hold a rank with. If you still aren't good, don't worry, the rounds are short and you'll be playing again shortly. The only possible downside is the standard maps, they can get pretty boring, however custom maps are always out there. Source, is amazing. Source is one of those addicting games that you can't stop playing. Two in the morning, and yah can't stop. Source is the game to get, awesome graphics and great gameplay. I advise you to have the following for specs:

128mb video card (direct x 9)
Pentium 4 or better processor (AMD athlon is fine too)
Fast HDD (7200rpm)
Monitor at least with 1024X768 resolution
DVD RW Drive
Cable Internet
5.1 Surround sound (Not neccessary, just fun :))
Also, not that it is neccessary nor do i have a good one, but a good mic is fun.
I see how much fun my friends have using it and i always feel like i should use one.

Great game at a great price

I have been a fan of Counter-Strike for years and I made the decision to purchase Counter-Strike: Source after being recommended to do so by a few friends who share my taste in video games. Counter-Strike: Source is hands-down the best Counter-Strike in terms of graphics and gameplay and I am still proud of myself for finding such a steal on Ebay. Although this game was not factory sealed, I found no difference. As far as I'm concerned, the seller simply did me a favor by unwrapping it for me. Don't worry about the game's CD key being used, therefore invalid. Very good game!

Counter Strike Source is a fun, fast pace, first person shooter video game. It is based on two teams, Terrorist and Counter Terrorist, with many game play modes. Including, DE, CS, AIM, Gungame and More. It is not so different from 1.6 with its exceptional graphics. There are not many new things from the two. Counter Strike Source has over 1000 servers to choose from. I rarely lag, and the computer requirements are not hard to meet, which makes Counter Strike Source a great game for everyone to play.
