Big chunky book, packed with vital information!

I bought this book as an essential reading item for University. It's a big heavy book but it's full of the information that I need for my criminology course starting in September.
It is broken down into 6 sections. Within these are 37 smaller, much more detailed sections, which are broken down into a table of contents, this enables the reader to search for the exact topic they are looking for and turn directly to it.
Each chapter begins with a summary, outlining what is covered and what you should be able to discuss after reading it.
There are a mixture of visual materials, photos, graphs, tables and illustrations, these bring the cases to life and make it easier to understand.
In boxes you will find features to enhance understanding of key theories or people in Criminology. They also provide in-depth and up to date are studies on more recent issues.
The chapters conclude with a list of books, articles and both print and online resources that provide further information on the topics covered. Students, particularly, will find this helpful, for developing and researching papers and assignments.
A great resource for students, although bulky and heavy to carry about. Full of information set out in a way which is clear and helpful. Making the most of the information it has to share.
