I did allot of homework on this purchase. I was very excited after reading the reviews. It looks nice and seems built well but...
If it's not on high it takes forever to cook something and the top lid,if you use it to grill top and bottom at the same time, has a design flaw that makes the grease drip behind the machine onto whatever surface it is on. When using it flat or open to grill its drains into the pan. Otherwise grease is all over the counter behind it. For this reason you have to clean both plates instead of pouring some water on it while it's hot and wiping clean like you can with most other grills. I wouldn't recommend it for these reasons. You dont always want to cook on high and the mess isnt worth it.Read full review...

This exceeded our expectations. What a surprise. The grill cooked our food so fast it didn't dry up the meat like cooking on one side does. Cooking meat on both sides is the only way to grill. I know purist will say it taste better to cook meat on a traditional grill, they are wrong.
