Excellent Water Filter Unit

Great value, easy to install, much easier to turn water on/off and replace the cartridge than my previous brand. Also, this design avoids the eventual cracking and leaking at the joint between the water line and the filter top. If there is a problem with chlorine smell in local water, must use the carbon cartridge.

Culligan distributors should make available to buyers the Sharkbite special connector for this type of inline filter; not available locally nor in many states in the US.Read full review...

Ended up having to throw it out because the plastic threads warp so easily. I replaced it with a Whirlpool I bought from Lowe's that has stainless steel inserts for the threads and that works just fine.Read full review...

Satisfied clean water drinker

Would give it 5 stars but still to early to tell. But,so far so good. My next door neighbor is an irragation expert and has the same unit on his well. He installed mine for free. I had to purchase the PVC and fittings, and I dug out around the pipes to be fitted. Just be sure when you install the fittings on to the filter housing that they are tightened to the max. Otherwise it will leak. Once installed though it began to work, only a couple of weeks in and I'm probably going to have to change the filter already. It's almost black and it started out pure white. Highly Recommend Culligan 360 Filter Systems !

I put 2 of these back to back before the water goes into our whole house. One catches the sediment with a sediment filter and the other has a carbon filter for taste, chemicals, etc. removal.

Culligan HF-360 whole house filter

I think for the money this is the best filter on the market. I've had one on my house for about 6 years now. I like that you can see the filter to monitor it and it's easy to change. The only think I don't like is there's no way to mount it, with copper piping that's not really a problem, the pipes will support it. the one I just got for another house will be using pvc, so...having a metal shop at my house I fabricated one, 1/8" steel with pass thru holes for the piping and screwed in at the inlet and outlet plastic flanges with 1/4" screws. so I lucked out being able to do that. This seems to be a good value. It is strong and attractive looking, and it has a handy shut-off valve right on top the bar on top rotates to close or open at least the incoming flow. I haven't installed it yet, only tested it on the garden hose with an adapter. It sealed properly and does it's job. I have used this system for years. I have never had leaks because I put plumbers tape on the water line threads before I attached them to this products housing. Unit also has o-ring inside the clear bottom where it attaches to the top and I have never had leaks around the top. Cracked while tightening the pipe in the threads. Watts has metal incerts-bought as replacement.

First the threads leaked, tightening to stop the leak creaked the case at the top. Won't buy again.
