Not Styx without Dennis

Not Styx without Dennis, never the less, there are some good tracks on this CD. 'These are the times' will remind you the most of the earlier classics by styx, then it has some very modern songs ' Kiss your ass good by', 'fields of the brave'(reminiscent of Queen's 'we are the champions'). Overall, I'd give this album a 3 1/2 rating but they don't have '1/2' feature.

Incredibly good for an aging rock band

Styx seemed to take all of their anger toward Dennis De Young and funnel it into the music on this CD (sometimes blatantly so - listen to Bourgeois Pig and Kiss Your Ass Goodbye) with pretty consistently excellent results. The last studio CD with Dennis was mediocre and the infusion of new players like Glen Burtnik and Ricky Phillips makes this CD a gem.
