Decent tuner with a great design idea.

This is a pretty good tuner, depending on where are using it. I bought it specifically for use on an acoustic that I take busking, as I loved the idea that it is unobtrusively mounted to a tuning peg; stroke of brilliance there! Unfortunately, it does not work in this application, as it is simply not bright enough to read outdoors. I have no problem tuning by ear but thought it would be nice to have a tuner on hand anyway- and sometimes I like to do open-tuned Zeppelin songs so having a good tuner just speeds things up a bit. I've got a couple of clip-on tuners, but like to have them in the house on other guitars, so the D'Addario would have been perfect. I'm going to put it on my Paul Reed Smith instead, as their headstocks can be kind of wonky to put other clip-on tuners on.

The D'Addario tuner works fine, and is pretty accurate, so no problem there.

Didn't fit my Tele with vintage tuners

It's a great and convenient tuner if it fits your guitar. It' didn't work on my Tele with vintage tuners. There is only enough space on the E tuners to install. The high E tuner is at an odd angle and can't be read properly. The bass E can be read but the tuner gets hit on my wall hanger or if I put the guitar in the case. I put it on my Les Paul and it worked great there.Read full review...

Works great on my Fender Bass

I have always liked the convenience of headstock tuners, but hated the clunky look of the clip-ons. I really like this one because it hides behind the headstock. The audience can't see it at all. It literally took less than a minute to install, and it works great on my Fender Jazz Bass!

My only complaint is that the buttons are very small. Good luck pressing the right one on a dark stage! I would like it better with fewer features and just one, easy-to-find button.

D'Addario Micro Tuner

I started with the clip-on version about 5 years ago. The tuner seems very accurate & easy to use. I ended up clipping them on with the tuner body on the back of the headstock. When I saw this version that uses one of the tuner screws, I leaped at buying it. The only negative about the clip on, is the "lump" on the headstock. This eliminates that. I'm very happy with this product Read full review...

Best tuner on the market

I use a pick guard screw to attach this to my electric guitar - perfect! The only thing I don’t love about it is battery replacement is not very convenient:

Clip free !

Would be really nice if I could buy the clip free base sans the tuner . That way I could enjoy this level of satisfaction on all my instruments at a more affordable price (already using about a half dozen clip on minis) a conversion kit with base plate and screws would be ideal!Read full review...

Clip free/ headstock mount

I love these little tuners. Using one of the tuner mounting screw holes, this tuner mounts w/ a slightly longer screw that comes w/ the CT-21-NS.
I have to look for a tuner, & it stows on the backside of the headstock, not the edge or face. I'm not clipping onto the decal or inlay.
The tuner body features have evolved over time, but w/ good improvements. Even so the older types function great. When the battery dies, I can just unsnap from the mounting piece, snap another that has a fresh battery, takes 2 seconds, or a bit longer to change batteries.

Great Little Tuner

It will fit on most head stocks. The color screen can be oriented in any direction. When it's on, it's easy to see, and out of the way. It doesn't stick out too much so you won't have to worry about it being broken off.
I will definitely be buying more of these for all my guitars.

The Best 🎸🎶✨

This is the best guitar tuner ever, it tunes accurately, stays hidden behind the neck of the instrument, so nobody sees it and I can turn it on/off with my thumb while I am playing 🎸🎶✨
