Be a great office modem with good WiFi

One of my attractions to this modem was reading about fantastic VDSL (FTTN) sync speeds, but sync speeds I found are average. My netcomm NF18ACV is syncing at 45mbps and the D-link 42mbps (1km from the node). Read about speeds syncing faster than the Netcomm in one review. WiFi range is as I read is excellent. I see on higher end Asus modems the firmware is pretty feature packed and aimed at gamers, etc. The D link is more just a simpler functional firmware. I think the d link would be great say in a small business, office where you just want a modem to perform well with good wifi with a lot of users connected. Note: Older versions of firmware don't have SRA as default for VDSL (needs to be on) and NAT enabled option was off by default too causing me not to connect to the internet with Aussie Broadband. I noticed with the latest firmware upgrade these are on as default and should make setup a little easier for some users.Read full review...

EXCELLENT Wifi Range, speed and stability

By far the BEST wifi range out there! I tried at least six top of the range routers and none even come close to this router's wifi range: Asus DSL-AC88U and AC68U, Netgear Nighthawk X8, TP-LINK VR2800 and VR900 and Linksys XAC1900. Add to this, excellent DSL stability (to date, no restart required) and admirable network speed and you've got yourself a winner! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. I only wish I'd found this earlier (would have definitely saved me a lot of time and money).

NB. With this router, I have full wifi coverage in all three floors of my old house (solid concrete walls and ceilings) plus front and back yards without any need for powerline adapters or wifi repeaters! Read full review...

Getting the job done nicely
