Performs well within its range
This chainsaw is good for what it is. It is similar to my battery powered polesaw. After using it the first time, it felt like a toy, but it got the job done. It fills the gap between my bladed weedwacker and my 18" Stihl. I used it to cut a 3" oak but it took a lot longer than my Stihl. So now I know its range. I mostly use it to cut scrub trees/bushes from 1-3" and trim limbs within the safety zone. It is perfect for that.
It is lightweight and therefore easy to control. It doesn't use fossil fuels or pollute and I don't have to use hearing protection which helps with my situational awareness. For its first test I ran it for about 50 minutes like I would a regular saw. Cut, limb, drag the mess to a pile...rinse and repeat. There was still lots of battery left.
You can't think this is going to perform like a regular saw but it is an excellent saw for clearing smaller brush although you can cut bigger trees, just not as efficiently. I like that it is a big name brand so I will be able to get new batteries in years to come.Read full review...

Reduces time and effort to complete projects when compared to the use of a manual saw.
Slow chain RPM speed or/and poor blade design result in a rough, jerky cut even with a fully charged battery and light pressure.
The need to drain and discard the oil remaining in the oil reservoir at the end of the project is a negative.
However, the use of this saw greatly reduces the time and effort to complete projects compared to the use of manual saws.Read full review...

DeWALT DCCS620P1 20-Volt MAX 12-In 5Ah Cordless Lithium-Ion Chainsaw Kit NIB
This product is outstanding as all of my DeWalt tools and equipment have been. It is very well designed, rugged and does an amazing job of cutting our oak trees (some as much as 8" in diameter). As you can tell, I am very pleased with this purchase. (Some folks have noted in reviews that the cap for the oil reservoir is hard to get off. This one was tight but a little power and it came right out.)Read full review...

Good for small saw jobs
This saw is perfect for what I wanted it for. I use it to cut small trees and limbs up to about 8 inches in diameter. The chain speed is slower than the gas powered saws but will do the job. It is lighter and easy to maneuver. The 5ah battery will last through 1 1/2 to 2 tanks of bar oil. It met my expectations Read full review...

great product made for the smaller jobs
This is a great saw with good power and light when working with small branches or trees. Been using it a lot and very happy with it. And it's a DeWalt so expect it will last a long time and batteries are interchangeable with other tools. I also have a large gas chain saw at twice the weight and happy I don't have to pull tht out every time I need to take care of a small job which is a lot. Just pick it up and go saw.
Only thing I noticed you may want to keep on eye on the oil level which is conveniently located on the front of the motor casing. Seems like it uses a good amount of oil when you're out for a while Read full review...

Work horse!
For my use, this saw is ideal: lighter than a gasoline-powered saw, the battery powers it for a long time (and works with other tools I have), and the saw is very capable. I use it to cut small to medium brush trees and branches, and to cut up dead-fall (which I have in abundance!). It's fast and easy, and reasonably safe.Read full review...

It'll give a little lady a sense of power!
It's so hard to find anyone to do manual labor anymore. When a huge tree limb fell I wasn't sure what I could do about it-but I researched lady's chainsaw. This came up and was highly rated. It cuts through those logs like butter! The only draw back is that the battery needs charging a lot-but then, at age 70 I need to take a lot of breaks anyway!Read full review...

Packing power
I’m a 61 yr old lady. I can not handle a heavy gas saw. This Is light weight with a long lasting battery. Little saw cuts through small diameter trees with ease. Don’t let the battery saw fool you! This little saw packs a punch!! Thinking of buying another one. Highly recommended! Read full review...

Great Chain Saw
This is well built as you would expect from De-Walt. I used it to cut up 2 plum trees that died this year and some limbs that fell from other trees. It made quick work of it and still had plenty of battery power left. I wish I would have bought this a couple years ago instead of messing with a gas powered one that only ran sometimes.Read full review...

A compact but powerful and sturdy cordless chainsaw!
This cordless chainsaw is quite compact but packed with lots of power and sturdiness. Also I like its light weight and the bright yellow look. I know it’ll turn out to be one of my favorite power tools.Read full review...

Great saw for small jobs.
I have only used it 1 time but the battery lasted longer than I expected. I cut two piles of 2 and 3 inch logs in half and cut up several big limbs and it still had power. I have three gas powered saws but I wanted something for small jobs. I am happy with it.Read full review...
