Great Drill for all Homeowners and Professionals. Your not going to build an addition to your home or build a deck with this guy

This Dewalt has a nice ergonomically designed handle that even my small hands can get a good grip on! The power of this drill is good enough. Your not going to build an addition to your home or build a deck with this guy, but this puppy will do a lot of work. It will get into tight spaces, and wont weigh you down from project to project. I also own a 20 volt Dewalt. That stays in the truck untill I need the extra power. I am a maintenance man, and I use my drill every day! Love it.. Angel V.Read full review...

compact, powerful, and the perfect battery powered drill/driver

This is the perfect electric screwdriver. The clutch control is excellent and avoids damaging screw heads. The quick-change 1/4" chuck allows you to, quickly, switch from a drill bit to a driver bit, although it is still faster to have a separate tool with which to drill.

The best thing is the compact size of the tool. The quick-change 1/4" chuck eliminates the usual large chuck and lets you work in confined spaces. If you buy a set of bits of multiple lengths, it is even more useful.

The 12 volt battery is plenty powerful for any job you will encounter

Perfect for what it does !

Just proves that you don't need the latest and the greatest technology such as brushless etc...... This screwdriver has plenty of power for what it does. I researched quite a bit before I decided on this tool. The other manufacturers such as Milwaukee and Bosch all have their 12v battery placed right into the grip, making it thick and uncomfortable even if you have large hands. Also, you cannot place the tool upright when you lay it down. This Dewalt design is perfect. The battery although inserted at the bottom of the grip makes the grip sized just right when you want to torque a screw down. Also it enables placing it upright while you work on any project. The clutch is brilliant. The adjustment allow for fine-tuning whatever screw you are using without stripping the head. I use it for carpentry and it handles all the smaller screws for cabinet drawers as well as 3" long screws for hefty/bulky fasteners. I get a full days work assembling woodwork and never ran out of battery midway. The smaller size and the short snout allow for using in very tight areas. Its a woodworkers' must have tool.Read full review...

Dewalt DCF610S2 Kit

So far have only used a few times to unscrew/screw. I like the feel of it in my hand (have relatively small hands)
and the weight is consistent with it's size. Feels solid. Also like that it comes with two batteries/ The unit I
received was already charged and ready to go. It would be nice if it came with a fitted, rigid case instead of
the canvas bag, but that is just something I would prefer-not a deal breaker...

Great little driver that does 99% of my driving

I already own one of these and bought this one for my brother who drools everytime I use it and he drags out his heavy 19v driver. This is lightweight and powerful enough to drive screws in softwood under most circumstances. I haven't used it much in hardwood, but I always pre-drill there anyway. This little puppy keeps up with the bigger, heavier contenders and doesn't weigh me down. There are usually a few laughs when I pull this out in a new group of guys, but once they see it perform, they are typically impressed.

I love the LED light on the front end. There are so many times when that has come in handy. To tell me that it has a light on the front would not impress me - not until I have actually used it. I can't count the number of times that light has saved my backside because I'm trying to work in some dark corner and with the light, I don't have to mess around setting up lights. This is a very nice feature.

I wasn't too sure about the hex shank on this, but it works great. I drive all sorts of screws with this, Torx, Phillips, Robertson. They all have bits available and are quick to change - you can do it one-handed with some practice.

This is my go to driver in all circumstances. If this doesn't handle the job, I have to go to a corded drill to get the power I need. I love this tool and recommend it to any homeowner/do-it-yourselfer/intermediate woodworker or even my brother!

I'd love it even more if this had an impact feature, but it would be heavier and cost more, so I'll take it the way it is. I don't own an impact driver and would love to have one, but this does such a great job, I'm not sure I'll ever spring for the bucks to get one.

Great supplement, not a replacement. Convenient and easy to keep around.

Perfect for my IT work.

This is a very good drill. I have one of the 18volt top of the line drill/driver/hammer for my heavy work and this one is a nice alternative to it. It's easy to carry around because its small and light weight. I'm surprised at how light it feels and yet puts out so much torque for its size.

The lights on this are great for when I have to work in computer cases. The tolerance settings go low enough that I don't have to worry about damaging any electronics. The only accessory I needed was one of the really long bits from the Dewalt bit set I bought a lowe's. I've been using this on and off for several weeks and I think I have only charged it once.

This is a quality product all around. I've had co-workers have to come barrow it because the other screw drivers of similar size just couldn't do the job.

DeWalt, Quality Power Tools, Worth the Investment!

This is my new favorite tool!
I am a big DeWalt tool fan, and not just because the "D" and "W" in DeWalt are the same as my initials, but because out of all the cordless power tools I have used over the years, DeWalts have the best quality over-all! I have the 20 volt "MAX" series tools and just love them! Power, torque, and a long lasting charge in their lithium batteries. And the battery packs are lighter weight, sleeker, look good, and charge fast too!
I recently started assembling a new product line at my job, where I needed to drive a lot of screws but with varying degrees of torque so as not to over-tighten and damage them, but I'm not able to set the torque on my DeWalt impact driver. So I thought I need a cordless screwdriver that is quality made, has a set-able torque, and has the POWER to last through the work day.
I looked at several power screwdrivers, and they looked and felt cheap, seriously lacked power, couldn't set the torque or had non-removable batteries, and wouldn't make it through the day. then I thought, "why am I fooling with this cheap junk"! Then I searched for a DeWalt screwdriver. They didn't have a 20 volt Max series screwdriver, but I saw the 12 volt Max one, and thought, does that have enough power to do the job? "I'll give it a shot", got a good buy on E-bay, came with 2 battery packs, and 12 volt Max charger, and a cheap carry bag (which I don't need). Then I realized hey, my 20 volt Max charger charges both 20 and 12 volt battery packs! Cool!!!
After just one week I can say, Man! It works great! I love this screwdriver! It's light, feels good in your hand, and I can set just the right torque for each fastener so as not to over-torque them. Bit changes are quick, pull back with one hand, and the 1/4 inch hex bits pop right out, push the next one in, and I can do it with one hand! The three LED work-lights illuminate the work really nice, and the 12 volt Max battery pack does last throughout the day.
I also just got a third 12 volt Max battery pack, and the DeWalt DCL510 12v Max flashlight from E-bay this week, which I'll use here at home with the 12 volt Max charger. Man! the LED is so super bright, I can't even look at it! I'm going to have to leave it on overnight to see how long the charge lasts!
I can hardly wait to get back to work on Monday, just so I can use my "new toy" again!

Dewalt 12 V MAX is improvement over the 14V product line.

I have pretty much all the DeWalt 14.4V tools and have had them for many year. In my mind they were the best available. Since purchasing The 12V Max products, I feel that these are a great improvement over the 14.4 V products. The 12V Max impact driver drives 3" 9 Gauge screws with a bit of effort, so I will be keeping my 14.4V I.D. & my 14.4 circular saw. The rest, including (2) Drill Drivers, (1) angle drill driver, (3) lob lights & (2) 7.2V Screw drivers will go to my son and (3) sons in law. The 12V Max products are the best. Did I mention that the reduction in weight is too good to be believed and the job lights are a vast improvement.Read full review...

The useful mitey mite!!

I bought the Driver/Drill to help around the house and do garage work too! I like it because it is much lighter then the 18V that I also have. It is much easier to use and it performs just as well. There is no noticeable loss of power or usage!
I also have various other brands up to 24 volts, but this one sits on top of my work bench waiting for me to use with out hesitation! I liked it so well I bought another one!

Very good product!!
