Does the job beautifully
I bought two of these for a halogen to LED 12 volt downlight conversion and an incandescent to LED 240 volt light bulb conversion. One fed a bank of 5 x 240 to 12 volt electronic transformers (each feeding one 6.5 watt LED downlight) and the other a bank of 3 x 3 watt bulbs.
As part of the downlight conversion, I also had to replace the transformers with properly LED-compatible ones - the existing ones were rated at a higher power rating for halogen bulbs and either didn't work at all with LED bulbs or wre plagued with flickering problems.
The same thing with the existing dimmers, which were designed for halogen and incandescent loads. The LED bulbs worked with theirs but didn't dim at all, while the LED downlights either didn't work at all at any brightness, or worked only intermittently and flickered with anything less than full brightness.
The upshot - both dimmers work perfectly.
The downlights go down to about 20% brightness (good enough for me) before some start to flicker - not bad given the downlights themselves are technically "non-dimmable". (I will replace them with fully dimmable LED downlights in the future). These dimmers have a very useful feature where you can mount the knob on the shaft in a position that creates a mechanical stop at any point in the range - so I have set this one to go as low as possible before flickering starts.
The 240 volt bulbs go down to about 10% brightness through the full range of the dimmer without flickering. These bulbs ARE specifically rated as "dimmable", however.
One word of warning - among my five brand new LED-compatible electronic transformers, one had occasional problems getting its downlight to start up on full brightness (it came on eventually) and never got it to start on minimum brightness. So I replaced this brand new transformer with another one and this downlight is now working perfectly too.Read full review

Not suitable for 12v halogen downlights converted to LED
When connected to12v LED downlights with 240v transformers (a common conversion from halogen) it dims well. Light can be reduced to near zero without flicker and this is an improvement over the older dimmer I replaced, but on maximum it flickers!
I reported this to the manufacturer and they recommended avoiding use of maximum brightness!
Had they disclosed this known defect I wouldn't have bought the dimmer but it may work well on other LED configurations.Read full review

Does the job well!
Good product, works well with no sign of flicker (unlike Bunning's Deta dimmers!) but high price seems out of proportion. (However I would expect they'll become cheaper in time.)
I did notice there was a level (quite dark!) below which that the LED lights wouldn't turn on again after being switched off. I found I needed to turn the setting up a fraction to get them to light, after which they could be turned down to the lower level. Don't know if this was due to the dimmer or the LED lights (Mitusbushi 'Verbatim').Read full review

Best dimmer switch for LED's I've used so far - most trailing edge dimmers still cause flicker on my LED oyster lights

LED Dimmer almost works OK
We have Philips brand dimmable LEDs in our Lounge room, and like to dim the lights especially when watching TV. LEDs are known for flickering and changing light levels when using older dimmers. We specifically picked this dimmer as one where these problems were supposed to be fixed. It is a big improvement over other LED compatible dimmers, but we find with this dimmer that the light level still changes when the lights are first switched on, but after a few minutes, the light level stabilises. We haven't experienced any flickering or ON/OFF switching, so that is good.Read full review

Finally a dimmer that really dims my LED downlights.
Finally a dimmer (I've tried a few) that really dims my LED downlights. Thank you. It would be nice to be able to adjust the minimum brightness a little bit more precisely (for example if they had used a splined shaft rather than a hexagonal shaft) but just being able to dim the lights properly is really good. Did the job.
Quick delivery and worked really well. Good instructions. Used it to dim 4 LED downlights which flickered and would not dim much using a conventional dimmer switch. This switch fixed both problems.

Great quality product
Very smooth dimming from full brightness down to very dim . Worth noting that the lights start to strobe on and off above a certain setting, so with my installation we use the limit stop to limit function to only about 1/3 of the full range. Works fine then.Read full review

The right dimmer for LED lights
I did the research and this is the best dimmer for your new LED lights. If you use the old type that used to work with incandescent globes, they usually don’t dim the newer LEDs much at all. This little blue switch solved my problems. Works well.Read full review
