my preferred tacker

ive used a 550 for almost 50 yrs as both roofer and carpenter, it provides me the feel, balance and durability i require. it will jamb like any other tacker but it is easy to work on and clear.if necessary i can take it completely apart and reassemble. and unlike most popular tackers today i can carry my 550 in my hammer loop instead of my nail bag. a new 550 is a bit pricey now but still worth it if like good quality tools.Read full review...

Lightweight and can really take a beating

Using this daily 5000 to 10000 staples every day l am an insulator in southern Ontario and have been for 35 years never used anything else !

Excellent pro tool! BUT! This this is the older style and is difficult to find staples! Buy the larger Duo-Fast model HT-755!!

Excellent tool and mine easily lasted 30+yrs as a Professional Flooring Installer!
The Duo-Fast hammer stsplers are 2nd to none!
The larger styles are more easily a better choice tho......for the staples are abundant!!
This older version Hammer Tacker model (HT-550) staples are difficult at best to find!
I would recommend only to use tje Dupfast staples which wont jam the staples while rapidly use securing tje padding to all wooden subfloors! Read full review...
