Love this CD!

Bill Medley's, formerly of the Righteous Brothers, latest solo release. Well, sort of solo, because some songs are performed with other greats. The tracks are mostly mellow or bluesy, with Bill Medley's taking mostly well known songs, completely reworked, and then interpreting them with his rich, heart-touching voice. An example, The BeachBoys age old favorite "In My Room" is converted by Medley from a song of teen age girls angst into a much deeper rendition, musically beautiful sung with Brian Wilson and others, changing it into the ssong of a fully-packed, mature emotional man. It you have a penchant for those rich, deep raspy voices that come along once in a great while and love to hear what a ture artist can do with solngs old and new, you can't miss with this one. Damn Near Righteous

Bill Medley still has the deep gravelly voice. Though age has begun to affect his voice it is a pleasure to hear him song along with his daughter on this album. His partners death took a great toll on his life but this album has brought him back to DAMN NEAR RIGHTEOUS PROPORTIONS. I would highly recommends this to any fans of BLUE EYED SOUL AND REMEMBERING THE RIGHTEOUS ONE. MOOKieRead full review...

Darn Near Righteous

As a Righteous Brothers fan, I found this two-fer very worth it. The DVD is more Bill Medley at work than a performance, but still worth watching, especially for what is essentially a freebie. So Damn Righteous

Bill Medley's voice has gotten better with age. This CD is a must have for your collection. California Goodbye, dedicated to Bobby Hatfield, will touch your heart, and break it, at the same time. I'll Find Someone Who Will has the ole' "growl thing", just like so much of his older songs, and Something Blue is the most beautiful song you will ever hear.Read full review...
