Great image quality, versatile monitor - perfect size
This is our 3rd U2412M. All three are still in use. Very versatile (vertical height adjustment and pivots 90deg) and great image quality with lots input choices. The 16:10 ratio makes it ideal for viewing woull pages side by side or a longer spreadsheet (11% more vertical area than a 16x9). That said, there are no more composite or RBG inputs, but that's not an issue for us. Read full review...

Good monitor-bad cable
Monitor had something loose rattling inside when I unpacked it. Hooked it up and the display had a greenish tint to it. I thought that I had gotten a defective unit, but then I noticed that the menu showed a normal white balance. I searched my parts stash and found an old VGA cable. When I swapped the cables, the color was good.Read full review...

Dell 2412m Monitor
I have been very pleased with all of my Dell Ultrasharp monitors. Never had one fail on me. The only reason I bought this one was to replace one lost in a fire. Very nice picture quality. Not the fastest refresh rate but I have always still gamed with these monitors without problems. If for any reason I had to buy another monitor, I'd buy another of these because for the price when used It's a very hard value to pass on.Read full review...

Great monitor
If you value your screen real estate, don't fall for lesser monitors of 1920x1080 resolution. 1920x1200 should be your minimum. It's nice and tall and a good size. Any bigger and you'll be moving your head around more. Waiting for the 4k screens to mature as a technology. This Dell U2412 looks great and should last a long time.
AFAIK this is the same LCD panel that Apple uses in their Cinema displays.

Fine Monitor, Great Product.
My old Dell 2407fbw died recently so I had to by another. I bought a new one (Old Stock) - New Dell UltraSharp U2412M 24-inch Full HD 16:10 1920x1200 LED LCD Monitor. The new one is very similar to the old one. I like it and it works very fine. That is all. - Thank you.Read full review...

Nice size with great features
Very glad that I stuck with a 16:10 monitor. The extra height is perfect for my games and also for Microsoft Office programs. I doubt you will find a better monitor for the price.

An economic screen
Excellent picture quality! This is a good buy but lacks any audio: you have to purchase add on speakers to hear anything on videos. Of course, the designer planned for this and designed it to readily accept add on speakers, but it was a surprise, as well as a bit of inconvenience.Read full review...

Good for software dev and review
I now have two of these, one in each of two locations. The 16:10 aspect shows more lines (landscape) while doing diffs, and more characters on a line (portrait) while doing development than would a 16:9. Far easier for software than is the 17" laptop. This one earned its keep in a week.
Before buying I wondered if lack of HDMI input would be an issue. No problem. I use it with either VGA or HDMI-to-DVI cable.Read full review...

Great Aspect Ratio, Great Image Quality, Great Price
A bit taller, good for photo editing. Good price at $200. DP rather than HDMI, so adapter may be necessary.

Excellent professional monitors
I love these monitors, I use them for 3d animation and video editing, and have 6 of them now. Paired with Quadro P5000 cards, I can color grade in 10 bit. I love that they are 1920x1200, the extra screen real estate is awesome. I bought extras for my render computer and server. My oldest ones I got probably 4 years ago and they are still going strong.Read full review...
