The Gonkulator is exactly what a Ring Mod pedal SHOULD be!
I dig that this re-issue version of The Gonkulator added a distortion knob. This thing sounds GREAT with my analogue synth (Arturia MiniBrute) and my digital synth (the Korg Monologue). Haven't tried a guitar yet, only synths, and a vocal mic. Its a smelly nasty flavor that's right at HOME with a small keyboard (3 octaves worth/30+ keys). Oh, and I put in my crappy Casio (using the drum beats) and this thing made it GROWL like a lower digestive track set aflame! Great bargain if you can get it for $60 or less, shipped. Bravo, DOD! Bravo! This, along with the FX70C Corrosion, are my FAVE pair of DOD pedals. wonder what one sounds like going through the other? Hmmm... Let's go find out!Read full review...
