Domino ( Harvey) Keira Knightly, Mickey Rourke

I hadn't seen any films of Mickey Rourke's except Angel Heart and that was only 2 months ago. Having read about his demise in the film industry then his slow and gradual ascension I am buying all the films he's done. I like Domino. Lawrence Harvey was a favourite actor of mine when the black & whites were put on the TV every afternoon in the 70's, and I didn't know till yesterday Domino was his daughter and about her tragic death.

This makes seeing the film all the more interesting, but Kiera Knightly was totally mis-cast! I can think of finer actresses more able to portray Domino, shame no-one gave Domino a chance to take the role herself, she comes from good stock, but being largely a ferral child could be the only one to get the gist of the life she lead. Anyway, really sad she died part way through filming, very sad.

Mickey Rourke, was fantastic, he looked better in this film, grittier and sexier than his subsequent smoothed out and parcelled into his head facial surgery (Nice to see he's looking more natural lately)and he is a great actor. I signed the online petition to get his star, can't believe he didn't have one? Someone must have a life-time grudge with him

Great film, wouldn't have chosen Jacqueline Bisset as the mum though (I should be a casting agent) but Edgar Ramirez and Christopher Walken? Simply PeRfEcT!!!

This true story is about Domino. Lawrence Harvery died when she was 5, her mother was too busy socialising to be a mum. Domino went from Boarding school to drop-out naturally, then her chance came when she sees an ad in a paper to train as a bounty hunter, and Mickey Rourke's her mentor and Edgar Ramirez her colleague and flirt. The film does a good job of depicting the real lives of bounty hunters, and the living on the edge personality of Domino Harvey.

Well Kiera or Keira Knightly must have done a good job because something edgey did come across and Mickey Rourke? Well I love this film, and he is so sharp and sexy. My third film, I saw Harley & Marlboro after Angel Heart. F.T.W is next followed by Out in Fifty and sin City. I'm leaving 9 1/2 weeks till last

Buy it!

DOMINO

THIS IS A GOOD ACTION PACKED FILM & SO SAD AT THE SAME TIME WHEN YOU REALISE THIS IS BASED ON A TRUE STORY. THE DVD IS WELL WORTH THE MONEY JUST FOR THE EXTRAS, IT HAS INTERVIEWS WITH THE REAL BUT NOW DECEASED DOMINO & FOLLOWS HER ON SET DURING THE MAKING OF THIS MOVIE.Read full review...

Domino - The (a) Review

Thought that the film itself was really quite good. there were a few critisims, they are - Keira Knightley, absoultly stunning looks great with short hair, but, not really belivable as a tough bounty-hunter. The only other flaw with it is that it is based on a true story, but based i mean very loosly, but all in all a good film with action, comedy and keria knightley!!!Read full review...

domino is smokin!

Have you ever watched ' dog the bounty hunter'? If you have then its a film based on that line of work. I enjoyed this film mainly because of keira knightly, (I'm only human) shes funny but very hard in this film and plays it really well. Hearing a posh woman swear just cracks me up I'm affraid. Any way if its not too much money buy this film you may like it.Read full review...

Creative, Violent, Extreme

Domino tells you her story. She’s not the girl next door, she’s a bounty hunter. So prepare for the extreme: Action rattles all the way through, violent and bloody.

Tony Scott often tries to put some of his artistry into his movies. Here he’s put the lot. You’ve got a constant flow of clashing images, all digitally reworked: colors, sequences, duplicated frames, flow, replay, payback… It’s like a living modern art painting, always evolving. A Thriller Art-Clip. And it’s simply brilliant.

So, here’s the feel: You’re told a kick-ass story by a hell of a sexy girl (you’re with me?), she’s sitting by your side and whispers the tale into your ear: you listen, mesmerized, watching a stream of clashing images whizzing in your mind. That’s about what you’ll get.
