Two great versions of the tale, with great actors' different takes -- what a treat!

I've wanted this for years, and finally found an affordable one here! Two classic versions of a classic story, with classic performances to compare. March vs. Tracy, Hopkins vs. Bergman -- all wonderful, each with different strengths and nuances. A TIMELESS CLASSIC

This is by far one of the best Horror genre films of all time. The original DR JEKYLL AND MR HYDE (1932) Clearly outshines any and all films before and since. The Direction, sets and above all ,the supreme acting, makes this a film for all true movie affectionados. Most movies made prior to 1939 (After the classics THE WIZARD OF OZ and GONE WITH THE WIND) seem dated and often times overacted. This film remains an example of a film way ahead of it's time. Shocking content (mostly restored footage) can still shock after 70 years. The commentary contained on this DVD is excellent.

Dr.s Jekyll & Mr.s Hyde.

Entertaining double feature, unfortunately out of print.
The 1932 version is different from the 1989 vhs release. The Paramount logo is restored, (the previous version had an MGM logo) and a jump cut during the garter scene is gone.
