item as described

old title but new game at a good price. install was held up by a date-time reconcile error, but downloading a patch from EA helped.

I miss the Dragon Age gameplay and looks of the previous two...

Controls are way too complex and difficult compared to the ease of the first two titles. Felt like I was playing a game cloned from a completely different game. Was very disappointing. I miss the Dragon Age gameplay and looks of the previous two. Those were far easier to figure out the controls and just as easy to remember them. With Inquisition not only do u have to go online just to see the manual but nothing feels the same as the first two games and none of the controls are even similar to what we had in the first two. I really don't care about multiplayer, especially not if it means changing everything so you don't even recognize it anymore. I was so excited to play this at first and while I was very interested in making a Qunari character all my excitement died quickly as soon as I started playing. Was so aggravating that I was cussing it out. Had to stop it and create a new character on Dragon Age 2 just to calm myself. This one might have Dragon Age on it but it's not really Dragon Age to me at all. What a let down...Read full review...

I like PC version of DA2, but it has a lot of drawbacks

I bought this product because I like Dragon Age Origins and wanted to play the sequel. This review is for the PC version.

I like the game, but it has a lot of drawbacks that a lot of players have issues with.

#1 Really Repetitive
What do I mean? Most of the houses/caves have the exact same layout, simply with doors/walls blocking off one or more rooms that you can explore in other houses/caves.

#2 No real comprehensive story line.
It's more like chronicling the life of the main character. But honestly, you should be able to figure that out from the first 5 minutes of the intro.

#3 Only human race
Again your chronicling the life of the main character, not really surprising you cant change his race. So it isn't like DA:O where each character has his own back story.

#4 Console port
I do agree the radial response menu and lack of response does tend to lend it self to a game more designed for the console than the PC.

Like I said, I like the game, but I do see where a lot of consumers will have issue with the game.

So in finally like most games, you will either like it, hate it, or find it a decent enough distraction until something else comes along.

Dragon Age 2 for PC - Modder's Perspective

Two words: no toolset.

The game itself is not that bad, but unlike origins which was immensely better because of a single item; dragon age toolset.
The gameplay is fluent and action is pretty good. Also unlike in origins, you can no longer be an arcane warrior nor can mage wield any sword or heavy armor whatsoever. The quests are something you would expect from an mmorpg except this isn't one. Though it has one interesting feature that you can have a romance relation with an elf instead of just humans, and the characters seem to respond to each others presence more actively.

All in all, it is a good game that is lacking with the single fact that it has no toolset, otherwise it would be a fantastic game.

Spy-ware hidden in a game format

Unlike the first of the Dragon Age series, this one HAS to be ran through a "client" online. This client is called Origin and part of their sign in agreements allows them to download screen shots of your desktop and pull file lists off your computer. If you want SPY-WARE, go ahead and buy this, or any other Electronic Arts programs now that I think of it!Read full review...

Dragon Age 2 Not Up To Dragon Age Standards

This Game In My Opinion Is Far Inferior To The First It Feels Rushed,
The Story Does Not Flow Very Well And The Reasoning Behind Everything You Do In The Game Is Not As In Depth As It Could Have Been. This Game Being Called 2 Meaning Sequel Really Besides Some Cameos Has Nothing To Do With It's Far Superior Origins Predecessor, The Companion Dynamic Is Poor At Best I Learned More About My Followers In The Year I Was With The First Group In Origins Then In 10 Years In DA2. If They Would Have Takin The First Game Gave The Character A Voice And Used The Battle Mechanics In DA2, Bioware Would Undoubtedly Have An Incredible Grand Slam!! So This Game Is A Little Enjoyable But Suffers From Diminished Re playability.Read full review...

Overated and not worth your money.

This game is horrible. I read somewhere that Dragon Age Origins took six years to make, but DA2 only took two years! EA Bioware slap something together and put Dragon Age label on it. The maps were small and recycled, and you spend the whole game in one city, and story is so poorly done. Although the game is rated Mature, Bioware think we are stupid kids that will love anything they pump out.
They did make the combat system faster and more exciting and improved on graphics. Still its bad overall IMO.
