Useful tool to check antifreeze mix ratio
I picked this tool as I have had other Draper products before. It was easy to use, although reading it took a bit of getting used to. The dual degrees F & C scale can be a bit confusing at first, but fine once you sort it out. Basically how many discs are floating gives the indication. Rough guide to concentration
I tested this tool with neat water, then increased the concentration up to 75% anti freeze, a different number of balls rise up when sucking in the fluid compared to if you let it settle for a while, the last ball did not float until about 75% so anywhere between 30% & 75% is very inaccurate.
It's ok to check you have some anti freeze but no good when wanting to adjust a specific concentration.Read full review...

IT'S SPOT ON. CHANGED ANTIFREEZE AND TESTED IT.
1 DISC FLOATED. I REMOVED 3 LITRES OF THE 1O L AND REPLACED IT WITH 3L OF CONCENTRATE.
RE TESTED AND 3 DISCS FLOATED. THE DISCS LEFT AT THE BOTTOM SHOW ANTIFREEZE NOW GOOD FOR -15 DEGREES.
LEARNED 2 THINGS.. HOW TO USE THIS TESTER AND MAKE SURE DON'T JUST BUY READY TO USE ANTIFREEZE. BUY READY TO USE PLUS CONCENTRATE. USED MANNOL PINK BTW.
