Refreshingly honest life history

I bought this for my Dad who has limited sight and was a great reader when this was possible for him. I actually listened to this before giving it to Dad, and so enjoyed the insight it gave me to a man who now as a public figure wrote this while making his way into his chosen profession. It's a straight forward, from the heart, book - and with the added bonus that Barack reading this himself, with a very a beautiful voice tone and with the feeling of re-living these memories himself as it is read.

A pleasure to learn and hear of this mans family history being from a fully mixed family of black and white heritage. I think it would do us all good to have a genes history as this, we may all have better and open view of other peoples and colours and cultures.
