Makes tying hooks so much easier
Like me when the eyes and hands aren't quite like they used to be and you are struggling to tie spade-end hooks. This is the ideal gadget, nice size for your tackle box, well constructed and so easy to use, giving you an really neat knot. Well worth the money.
Had one of these 30-odd years ago (when I were a lad, etc...) and found it invaluable for tying spade-end hooks neatly.
Recently got back into fishing and dug the old one out, but it had become brittle and wouldn't hold the hook tightly. New one purchased and back to tying neat hooks again. Can take a bit of getting used to if you haven't used one before, but there is an excellent video on YouTube showing how to use them properly.

I've used these since the eighties for tying spade end hooks, and once you've grasped the method, and memorised it, it comes automatically.
