Alot of fun even if you're not a crack shot. Try not to shoot the dog.

I really like this game. I am not a shooter but I didn't know how bad I was until I played this. I didn't buy a version with instructions so whenever I shot and the screen lit up I thought I shot the duck! But then the dog popped up and giggled and I realized I hadn't! More than once I tried to shoot the dog but unfortunately it never worked, DARN!!

I bought this product because it seemed like a lot of fun. I am of the older generation and I didn't have much of an opportunity to play video games in my younger days so this is my chance.

Duck Hunt / Fun for a while

If you aren't a collector, stay away from this game. Buy the Super Mario Bros/ Duck Hunt game instead. Why ? Because after an half an our of shooting the same darn ducks, you have pretty much seen it ! Sure, you can also shoot on those "clay pidgeons" but it still stays a repetitive target shooter. And not to mention that annoying laughing dog... Another reason is the fact that the game has no ending... after 99 levels you go to level 00 and die because you can't see any ducks (but you still hear the sound of their wings)

Unless you are a collector or you want a trip down memory lane, you shouldn't buy this one. Buy one of those X in 1 instead ( Super Mario Bros / Duck Hunt ; Super Mario Bros / Duck Hunt / world class track meet ; ...)

Great Game!

Let's get down to it. On the NES Duck Hunt is a sheer classic. Back in '85 when we first saw a game that let's you shoot ducks on your TV with a gun you plug was AWESOME and really "high-tech". Do I really need to explain gameplay? We all know how it works. But if don't, YOU SHOOT DUCKS AND GET PISSED AT A DOG. So bottom line, this game is a classic and is a must for any NES fan and a must for any NES collection.Read full review...

Best shooting game of its time, hands down!

Amazing! A game ahead of its time. A great way to learn some of the fundamentals of marksmanship. The game takes a simple concept, runs with it, and does an excellent job at it. It's a wonder why there was never a sequel.
Only downfall- can't shoot that dog that laughs at your misses.

Duck Hunt NES.

The original first person shooter game...Save for maybe Hogans Alley, but clearly the best for the little ones.

The game sends a dog over the brush to rustle up ducks. With the "Nintendo Zapper" light gun (required), you shoot the ducks. When you miss the dog giggles at you. It gets progressively harder.

That's it. Simple fun.
