Any delay takes work to get the sound you want and this little box will get you there.
It is a nice little pedal and is very affordable. I just began my quest for tone after just using a multi FX board for 2 decades. This was a good tool to help me figure out the settings I needed to get the sound I want. One special feature that so many other EHX pedals have is not only the durability but they always have that something extra. With this you can add a modulation effect to the feedback (loops). You can use chorus or tremolo. At first (if you are unversed in delay settings) it might seem it only distorts the signal to something unrecognizable but after playing with all the possibilities you get the sound that was intended and it sounds very cool and VERY ORIGINAL.
To be honest....Electro-Harmonix would never let you down.
Thanks,

Delay problem
Sounds good but the feedback has problems when I put a very high value makes a horrible sound, I improve by changing the value to the internal potentiometer of the gain and changing the position of the integrated A / D, also the square wave sounds a little strange, otherwise it is good to be used and for that price.Read full review...

Versatile
Has that warm analog sound but gets into old tape echo territory with the modulation type and wave form options. The feedback seems to on forever if you want it. Versatile pedal

Overall an interesting array of sounds are on hand.
I bought this pedal because I wanted an analog delay and the
ability to add chorus and vibrato to the mix. I has a nice full sounding delay as long as the controls are kept at lower
levels. With a slight increase you begin to get chorus and vibrato, but beyond that there is pitch shifting and further up
on the levels and it can get very space sounding. It adds a
nice fullness to your basic tone, and I leave it on with controls set very low. This provides a nice analog delay and a slight chorus feel.Read full review...
Analog delight
Honest review:
What I like: Beautiful cascading analog delay sounds, great control over dry/wet signal, enough delay time for the price.
What I like not so much: Touchy controls, crazy modulation past 9 o'clock, lack of frequency blend.
If you want a real BBD delay, and you're willing to put some time and effort in chasing the tones in your head, then this pedal is a must for its price range.Read full review...

get yer bucket and feel swell
so the guts of the memory boy are 100 percent analog with 4 bbd BL3208A chips - the sound therefore is clear and crisp. The tremolo/chorus makes a huge difference in the expression developed by forcasting the blend knob. For a glass smoth low blend is recommended. For seasick waver, up the blend and get dizzying heights, or lsd bad trip lows - your choice. for my fave setting the knobs go 5-7-10-3 which gives me clean, clear repeats without huge attack, and slow decayRead full review...
