First thing first, this does work with my car (2000 Honda). Plugged it in, connected it to read codes and took it out right away to prevent any possible problems that other reviewers have stated they have had with it plugged in for some time. Now, I have read a good amount of reviews on this product and I will agree that it is light weight and feels on the cheaper side (not sure if the more expensive ones feel this way too) but I hope it will continue to work nonetheless when needed. I don’t remember correctly but I do believe a basic set of instructions are provided on the box it came with. Whether it did or not, with a little research or common sense, the average person should be able to connect it with their phone which confuses me as to why some people could not connect it (unless it’s possibly defective or not compatible with their vehicle). I was able to pull codes along with what the code means. I haven’t explored too much into the other features of the product so I can’t review that aspect. With that said, the product has not yet failed me which reflects the rating but if it does in the near future then I’ll give myself the good old saying, “You get what you pay for.” Good luck to potential buyers and hope you have a good experience with it as well.Read full review

Application compatibility and options of several different apps.
Makes it nice to not be stuck with a program that fails due to proprietary.
The features offered of scanners costing over 100 dollars minimum .
Can choose free software... Or very reasonable priced full version apps.
All in all it is a good bargain with easy to use software that works very well.

It works!
At first my Bluetooth couldn't find it then I realized I hadn't pressed the on button on the device. I'm using it with another free app called car something. I first found out I have zero codes next it have me all sensor readings and tells me I just had driven point seven six miles. The only downside is the device cannot be read unless the engine or ignition are on even though the device is still on. It will drain your car battery unless the device is turned off.Read full review

Great OBDII Bluetooth (BT) Interface, works better than other BT OBD devices I have tried. Use with Torque Pro software on my phone. Connects and disconnects automatically without hanging. Excellent Bluetooth OBD2!!!
Tried the mini blue obd2 set that you see so cheap around here. It didn't have the right protocol for The Ford ECUS, J850 PWM This one does! Best part is it has an off/on button. More solidly made, an overall professional build without breaking the bank!
Works well with torque pro and other free programs. It's consistent and accurate. It will refresh if the bluetooth signal is weak, but quickly reconnects. Uses ELM327 1.5, the version that has proper protocols before the updates. With the others you will need an extra protocol program and that's cumbersome.

works on my 2002 jeep grand Cherokee and my 2015 Prius v. it could use a small instructions booklet. it would really help in getting started without going and searching the web.
I had a loose gas cap on the jeep and the Prius. put a new cap on the jeep, tightened the cap on the Prius, and cleared the faults right in the driveway.. presto! no more check engine light..

I highly recommend this especially for $15 + $5 for my Galaxy phone. I've trouble shot and fixed all issues on my 2005 C230 Mercedes. One issue was I accidently got some anti seize grease into a spark plug when I put in all new ones a few months ago. I ran a quick scan and with in a minute it told me I had a misfire in cylinders 2 and 4. Opened the motor bsck up-to-date sure enough grease in spark plug #2. Simply wiped it clean checked the rest closed it back up..3 miles later, my check engine light turned off.
