When I have to buy this from my dermatologist it’s at least $35! It light , I’ve used it for several years . I don’t wear foundation only this , with little blush .. my mom liked the tinted , but I prefer the clear . I have tried every sunscreen under the sun for my acne prone sensitive skin. I also have peri oral dermatitis. I just had stopped using anything. I had to start using something, because I'm an avid boater and always in the sun. My dermatologist several years ago suggested I try Elta MD clear 46. I am completely addicted. I use it every day, even under makeup. It actually has greatly improved my skin. It has been an absolute lifesaver for me. Definitely worth trying!
This sunscreen is a hybrid (part physical and chemical). And for the record, I have read many positive reviews about this sunscreen beforehand. When you apply it, it does go in clear like it says and it leaves my skin smooth to the touch. It's light weight and silky. And it did not leave my skin with a gray, purple or white cast. I think what makes it go into the skin easily is the chemical ingredient (the octinoxate). Another thing I like is that it's fragrance and paraben free. On the other hand, this sunscreen is only meant for the face but I tried it on my body and it was fine except that it left my feet ashy particularly (which probably means that this suncreen does not necessarily doubles as a moisturizer). The only thing I don't like about this sunscreen is the chemical ingredient in it because according to my research it is harmuful to the human body and I read reviews about the EltaMd mineral sunscreen and there are reviews that said that it leaves a white cast which makes me not even want to try it. It's great because it doesn't appear white and since I have oily skin, it doesn't make that worse. It's fragrance free. Wish it wasn't quite so expensive.

I simply love this sunscreen. Not only 46 SPF, Broad Spectrum, but has transparent zinc oxide in it. This is recommended by my dermatologist. I was very pleased to buy a box of 40 sample packets, easier to travel with. Each packet has enough for two applications to your face and neck. The price was also great, I saved a lot of money. Great daily sunscreen
I first tried this as a sample from my dermatologist. The formula is light but the coverage is great. It’s hard to find a sunscreen with zinc and a higher spf that can be worn with moisturizer and makeup. It doesn’t leave you greasy like every other facial sunscreen I’ve tried. I think I will run out of this product quickly and I’m not sure the pump will be able to get the last bit of sunscreen out when it gets low.
