Bought it for my 76 year father, that lives alone, in a different state. He says many different types are callers are calling him... day & night. He says these are the "ROBO" calls & he HATES these calls. This Emerson Talking Caller ID helps him with WHO & WHAT is calling before he picks up his line.... HE LOVES IT.

Sounds works, display doesn't

When the phone rings, the machine will audibly tell you the numbers belonging to the caller. That's nice. If it's an 800 number, I don't answer. But the display doesn't work. You can barely read the display when you hold the machine at a upward angle, but looking at it dead on while it's sitting on the table just shows a full orange screen. Adjusting the brightness or contrast doesn't help. Poor quality. Disappointed.Read full review...

Doesn't Announce the Name of the Party Calling

Poor quality; not worth the money

Voice is difficult to understand; isn't very loud; essentially worthless to me. Went back to a 15 year old voice caller ID, works 10 times better than this piece of crap.

Display is defective

This is the second unit that I ordered (2 different sellers). The display will not show when it is in the upright position (vertical), which is the normal position.
