It exceeds my expectation

This printer exceeds my expectation because it does not only print, documents, photos and CD's but it can also print PVC ID's (PVC ID tray can be bought separately). I use this printer to print pocket calendar on PVC ID. I love the printing result because the color is crisp, vivid and real. Besides that it prints so fast. What attracts me to buy this printer is the low price but still it works the same as other expensive printer. I recommend this printer for everybody who wants beautiful, clear and fast printing at a low price.Read full review...

Not Ready For Prime Time

Epsons (I've owned about 4 models) waste a lot of ink on cleaning and start up. I also have had problems with every one leaving smudge at the bottom of printed note and Christmas type cards. This one has 6 cartridges and doesn't look any better when printing photos than the 4 cartridge models. I use print pal cartridges because there is no way I can afford to use the Epson product. For the most part the PP seem to put out as good a print as Epson. I do all my photo (not that many) printing through online services it is cheaper and you get real photopaper. This also prints on CDs but never tried it to expensive especially if it screws up. Never burnt a bad LiteScribe label but no color to them. I would avoid this printer and its family stick with a cheap epson get cheap carts and print photos on line. Alos Epson should allow the printer print inBLACK even if the other carts are empty.Read full review...

Awesome. Best printer I have ever owned.

The only reason I bought this printer is because I have used this printer and I love the way it prints and also because the one I use died. The quality of the the images are amazing. The speed of the prints are shockingly fast. An 8.5x11 print only take about 2 minutes or less. I honestly love the quality that this printer delivers. I really recommend this printer to those who print often or are photographers. In the end, I HIGHLY recommend this product. You will not regret your purchase.Read full review...

Epson has done a few things correctly...

This printer is one of the better ones out there, for the price. Of course, that means that it went out of production when this was discovered, so you can rarely find them. I have owned four of them over the years and every one has been great. The only thing that is short is the life of the printer. Too bad, but still worth the effort...Read full review...

Love Or Hate

Never had much luck with Epson lasting very long,I allways use the OTHER brands in between my epson flings.I just bought 2 R280,s new in the boxes for $137.00 a little pricy but worth it in the long run I print a lot of photos,and this printer will take a ciss ink supply like my old R200 so I just print to my Harts desire. Yep! Bulk Ink just print print and print till it,s wore out then break the other one out of the box. AH Sooooooooo much fun what ever you buy just make sure they sell a constant ink supply for it and PRINT if you don't print that printer will go bad as the little holes plug upRead full review...

Great prints able use very cheap ink

I have NO dislikes about this printer other when you turn it on it's slow to ready green light.
NOW the loves,The R280 fits nicely almost anywhere,it has one of the smallest ink drops of most printers (small drops sharp prints). The printer prints on CDs/DVDs with either paper labels you put on or ones that are printable (white tops). A supplied tray makes printing on the easy. After you print one label with the supplied software you'll never look at laser printed labels again. My friends and I jointly own about six R280s we use ink system from CISS (I don't know anyone who works there).

Espon Stylus Photo R280 Inkjet Printer

I love this printer it prints pages really fast and also prints on CDs or DVDs. The colors are vivid. Software is easy to install. I also like Epson Printers because you can buy CISS or Continous Ink Systems for less than the price of a new set of ink cartridges that come with the equivalent of about 10 cartridges of ink and if you do run out bulk ink is cheap i prefer the UV ink. Perfect service

This R280 replaced a R280 I already had for over 10 years so set up was uneventful. I love the R280 so I was very pleased to be able to purchase a brand new one in box that had never been opened. It came from Canada so that coupled with the Covid problems increased the ETA of January 7th by about 10 days. Read full review...

Epson Stylus Photo R280 Digital Photo Inkjet Printer

This is a great photo quality printer- I use only for photo and have a laser printer for documents. No bells and whistles on this (scanner/fax,wireless etc.)
printer, but it does amazing photos. - This is an upgrade to the R260 I had before- the drawback is that the printer stops working after a time as it has an automatic shut off after a certain amount of cleanings of the heads. It cant be started without a manufacturers restart using software. Its supposed to protect from ink overflow but the expense is not worth the price of the printer by that time.Read full review...

Wonderful printer for beginner photographers

I bought this printer out of recommendation by my digital photography teacher at my college.I had taken a class and was doing a lot of work with photoshop and wanted a printer that I could use to do prints with.For as cheap as this printer is, pricewise, I oouldn't believe the results.The pictures are flawless and pick up every bit of quality.When printing landscapes, they look like something you would frame and buy out of a picture store.Excellent quality, excellent price, unbeatable prints.Read full review...
