Good but old printer

Ink cartridges were all dried out and unuseable... replaced them with new fresh cartridges and everything works fine....

Rugged & dependable with a small footprint on my desk.

Crisp, quality output. Don't understand why they discontinued such a reasonably priced & rugged product.
The only 'Con' is EPSON's #78 Ink is outrageously expensive.

for a photo business I'm starting

I needed a printer that has professional features and these printers have what I think is for my small business, I'm trying to startup in these hard times.I have owned these 2 printers for about 6 months and am very dissatisfied. I printed about 10, 8X10 prints perfectly then they started going crazy. I have CISS systems on them. The ink disappears to I don't know where. I have been gone for 2 days, computers and printer off. When I returned all the ink tanks are empty(full of ink when I left)there isn't any ink in the printer cartridges and the tanks (all six) are bone dry.I have the ink tanks sitting in a clear container that is clean as new. Where did the ink go ? I live by myself and nobody has access to the computer or printers.I'm changing my ratings to POOR.Read full review...

Epson R280 printer

If you want to print your own labels for the copies of your cd's that you carry in the car, DVD's of the family vacation, or photographs this is the printer for you.

I have owned and Epson R200, R220, R260, and now the R280 and they have all performed as expected for several years.

Each printer comes with it's own software which is more than adequate for produce simple text to complex picture backgrounds on your DVD

I would suggest adding a Continuous Ink Supply (CIS) to your purchase as you will find that you want to do so many printings with the printer that running out of ink is an inconvenience that the CIS helps eliminate. Not only that but it also cost so much less in the long run.

Good printer, expensive ink

The printer is nice and it works with my older version of the Mac operating system. However, Epson sticks you with the price of their ink, which is the only reliable ink to use with this printer.

Epson r280

Doesn’t work well with after market ink, even clogs with epson ink. A week or two of not printing and your print head will be clogged. Tried cleaning it several times but didn’t help.

I wouldn’t waste money on it if I were you!Read full review...

Awesome printer, great quality for it's price range.

This printer is very useful, and prints at a very high quality for it's price range. It's quality on CD's and other items it can print to is just as high quality images as if it were on paper.
