I bought this printer specifically to print on CD's and DVD's. The bundled software isnt the greatest, but the print resolution is excellent. Doesn't work and play well with Mac OS 10.5.6

In the instructions, they've inserted an 'update', telling you that new printer drivers for 10.5.6 are available online...so I downloaded them, and the CD printing function isn't recognized. After about an hour (an HOUR!) on the phone with Epson tech support (they tried to be helpful), we figured out how to do it manually. I was told that's the way it needed to be...nice. If you like arcane printing methods, it's sweet.

Epson R280 paper & DVD printer

I bought this printer because it is able to print directly on ink jet printable CD's & DVD's. It is the most affordable & highest quality printer for the job. The Epson R280 printer gives professional photographic quality results. The only draw back is it does like it's ink, this printer is a very heavy drinker.Read full review...

Epson should have never changed this line. The Artsan 50 was no where close to the R280.
