Recommended for Preschoolers & Amusing for Adults
This book was briefly shown in one scene in the movie "Dan In Real Life" starring Steve Carell (The 40-Year-Old Virgin, TV's The Office).
Acting on my own curiosity, I recently checked out the book, "Everyone Poops" by Taro Gomi, at my local library and found out it was somewhat amusing and may be very useful for my preschooler whom is currently in her second month of potty training.
The books cover was not what I expected to see after opening it and viewing the colorful illustrations contained within. This book shows several different types of fecal matter with a humorous outlook from the miniscule size of bug poop to the enormity of elephant poop. The book illustrates the difference in size, shape and color. The only thing missing is the smell.....scratch n' sniff anyone??......LOL!
Anyways, in the end it has helped my child grasp the understanding of using the potty and understanding her bodily functions. It's natural, we all poop and as long as she doesn't fling or finger paint with it - I'm cool with that. It seems funny and we all seem to snicker every time we here the word "poop", at least I do...... Call me immature, childish or demented.......I believe a lot of us can learn to relax a bit more and laugh a little more often. -A.S.E.,LLCRead full review...
Highly recommended for parents planning to toilet train! Great value!
"Everyone Poops" by Taro Gomi is an excellent read for youngsters. It can be especially helpful around the time of toilet training as it gives a humorous and intriguing, yet accurate look at this natural process of all living things. Taro Gomi includes colorful and clear pictures in his book. I also purchased "Once Upon a Potty" and the two books work hand in hand.Read full review...
Perfect Poopy Potty Training Help!
My 2.5 year old is potty training, and can pee in the potty all day long, but she'd always poop in her pants. I'd heard this book was helpful, so I quickly bought it, willing to try anything at this point. Sure enough, the first time we read the book together while she was sitting on the potty, she pooped too! It's a silly book that would make a great adult gag gift, but it's also cute and silly and helpful for potty training toddlers.Read full review...
Relatively On Point
"Everyone Poops" by Taro Gomi is an interestingly juvenile explanation of the digestive excavation process. The pictures are what makes the book; a little less could be said for the writing. It is blunt, and to the slightly to the point, with some amusement. I wouldn't recommend this for children that will dwell on the graphics, because it may become tiresome to hear about.Read full review...
Very fitting title.
This book came highly recommended from parents with toddlers learning to go potty. It is written in a child's language, easy for them to understand. I recommend this book.

Overall, I think this is a great book to help young ones undstand going #2
My wife and I bought this book for our 2 year old son to aid in potty training. He loves reading the book and I feel that it helped him understand what is going on in the poop department. Since reading this book to him he has had more interest in the toilet/pooping and also says "poop" when he sees animal poo.Read full review...
