Finding correct fluids for antique vehicles isn't always possible.

I know all the various, major labels read: "Works with ALL vehicles, no exceptions..." and stuff like that. I'm not convinced the companies making these claims are testing their products on all the possible, older vehicles that are still on the road. No way. They could never afford to do that kind of testing--assuming it were even possible.

Without question, fluids have changed over the years. The chemistry of modern additives mixing with the compounds in seals and gaskets from 35 or 45 years ago is an unknown.

As I understand it, this product is "Power steering fluid" as it would have been in the 1960's and 70's; as opposed to "hydraulic fluid" or "ATF" and "ATF+whatever"...

I bought it for a 1984 300D T after switching over to the newer stuff and seeing leaks for the first time. The two events could be unrelated. No way of knowing. Why take the chance when this is available for just a few buck more than the common stuff.

P.S. - I don't see any point in my rating this product, because I just bought it--and have nothing to base an opinion on; but, eBay won't let me "Submit" this review without a star rating...so, I'm arbitrarily giving it 5 stars.
