Not always easy but always worth it

I have not purchased from this seller that I know of, I would not hesitate to do so as the profile is good. I am writing this for the "new be" upgraders. I have fitted 8 sets of these tuners and love em. I fitted them to USA and Mex strats/teles - but also Squire and new build Custom. The former are a straight swap, the later require so work. The thing is if there are no holes - if the holes that exist are in the wrong spot, thats the work. Stewart McDonald website has some great videos on how too. Firstly you need a template to drill the new holes (that way they are all the same. secondly the old holes are filled with tooth pic or match or small dowel. If the holes don match fill them in and carefully clean so you won't notice, generally they are hidden, don't drill till you have a perfect template. Make headstock out of waste and practice first. Thats how I did my first one and I love em. Good love hope this helps. The picture attached is a different template but similar, doesn't show the underside - alignment edge.Read full review...

Brilliant, BUT

I was horrified that these tuners did not fit perfectly. I had to drill out extra Pin Holes because these New Fender Tuning Key's Pins did not line up with my Fender Squire Standard Pin Holes. I had to make new holes and had to keep making the holes wider to make the tuners sit straight. I made a shockingly awful job of it (see photos), but at least it works fine now. The strings do lock and tuneup nicely (so far). Not only that, but these keys do not stick out as far as the original ones did from the headstock, but it's still ok and easy to tune. If I had an expensive Fender Guitar, I would have been devastated that the tuners (Original Fender Parts) did not fit perfectly straight out of the box and I would never have Butchered the head stock the way I did. Fender need to get their act together IMO and make their parts interchangeable. Anyone should be able to upgrade their Fender Guitar using any Original Fender parts. Fender own Squire, so there is no excuse.Read full review...

Nice Upgrade for Some Guitars

Different guitars come with different style tuners, even if of the same brand. If you have this style of non-locking 2 pin tuners on your Fender or Squire, then this is a nice upgrade that will be very easy and works well. If your tuners aren't this style, then you will have to modify your guitar to accept them, and you risk making a mess of things and having exposed holes. Don't blame the tuners when that happens, but get some tuners that fit your guitar, possibly of another brand.Read full review...

Good product

Excellent quality. Does not fit my Squier Bullet Strat and had to not only drill out the peg holes but also the two pegs that keep them aligned. Overall a great product, just not a direct replacement. Read full review...

Head turning tuners

These are great tuners! While they may have a little heft to them (to me that makes it feel less cheap) they more than make up for it with their smooth & easy functioning.
I like that you have the added option to remove the key head and replace it with a custom part.
These parts are exactly as described and came in a timely manner.
Great source and I would highly recommend using them.

Looking Tuners

I have put these on both my builds and they are well worth it. Got them both from Guitar Audio the only place you need for guitar parts. I get all my parts from them. They have great customer service, prices and turn around time. The tuners are excellent I would put them on every guitar. Read full review...

Great materials and workmanship.

Very smooth performance from Fender branded import tuners. Worth the extra install time for the 2-pin alignment stabilizer design.

Good tuners, good Fender upgrade quality

Nice locking tuners, action is smooth, tuners stay in tune without any backlash issues, 15:1 ratio is good (18:1 might be a little better IMO). Price is fair for the quality.

Locking tuners are one of the best upgrades for any guitar.

They are really good tuners for the Fender necks that utilize the two-pin method to secure the tuners. Fast string changes are great.
