Nice Tone For The Buck

I been using another Nylon Tapewound brand for the past 7 years but for my new fretless Fender I decided to roll the dice with the Fender Nylon Tapewounds. I am glad I took a chance. They actually sound warmer than the other strings and they cost less per set.Read full review...

Good, but with one issue

I ordered two sets of these strings and one set had a dead string so I had to use one string from the second set. Now I don't have a second set. The price seemed really good compared to other similar strings but this is a problem. Once I got 4 good strings on the bass sounds great.Read full review...

Me likey!

I bought these strings for my fretless P-style bass. The rounds I had on it were eating away at the fingerboard, and I wanted a softer string with a little more "spank" and attitude than steel flats. The are deep, warm sounding strings. There is a subtle high-mid thing going on that is great for the fretless tone. The feel of the nylon wrap is slick and soft. If you're used to rounds, these take a little adjustment. So far, I'm really looking these strings.

Because the string gauge is so thick on these strings, the D string catches at the nut. This is not a reflection on the strings, in and of themselves. Rather, it is to say you may need to get your bass set up by a qualified tech when you get these strings in order to for the nut slots to the correct gauges. Or if you have the tools and the knowledge, go for it. Mind your string gauges before buying. You have been warned! 😉😋😎😘

Best Heavy Bass Strings on the Market

I use these on my Fender Jazz and Peavy practice bass guitars. No break-in and they last and last. Best sound for 4 string bass, no finger slide squeaks ever! I used teflon coated flatwounds in the 60's and this is the best replacement ive found.Read full review...

Great value and fantastic feel. Sound and intonation is awesome. Most say nylon wound kills HI's not with these babies.

fretless

The fender strings are the best buy for the money. I have a fretless bass and i did not want to wear groves in the neck. The nylon strings are smooth and don't buzz when you slide your fingers up and down. I love the sound.Read full review...
