Classic Fiddler

There were many productio choices on eBay. This is the 1971 MGM movie with which we were familiar. It arrived in 3 days and had no flaws on the disc. I suppose there are a million copies out there (we had the VHS but our player wouldn't work!). I saw it in NY 50 years ago, but the nuance of the faces up close is a dimension that is lost to the theater goer. $5.00: what's not to like.Read full review...

Fiddler on the Roof

I had seen this back in the '70's and enjoyed it. Two weeks ago in showed
up on a late night movie that I was too tired to watch so the next day I
checked Ebay and found it at a very reasonable price and ordered it. My
wife and I just finished watching it .. I was moved by the tug between
family love and "tradition". Years and years ago when I was very young
a Jewish family that lived next door to my cousin had a funeral for their
daughter who married a Christian. Protestants against Catholics, Sunni's
against Shiites, Russian Orthodox against Jews. This movie shows how some

One of the all time best movies ever made...It's apparent from the start, the Director selected each of the 50 actors with great care, and from many different countries.

easy to find and just what i was looking for

this movie was on late at night and i stayed up to watch it. my family had the album when i was a child and i've seen the movie. i watched it again through adult eyes. my grandparents came over to america because of the progoms in the early 1900's and this fantastic movie is based on fact and reached into my heart. every weekend i speak to my elderly mother and play a song for her now. i am so delighted with this dvd.Read full review...
