A historical tale of travel by perseverance

It has history, adventure, human interest and is a great read for Land Rover tragics.
This trip cannot now be duplicated with the current political state of those countries traversed and the travelers had many bureaucratic hurdles to clear at the time of the trip. They met each obstacle with true English grit and the use of the Empire network which was alive and well at the time (1955).
