Great Fitbit Tracker
I have had several fitbits over the years. The fitbit Alta has been my favorite. I love that you can see your text messages scroll through on the alta screen. Nice basic tracker with a couple of "bells n whistles". Another great feature is being able to swap out wristbands. Stick with the Charge.
I had a Charge and although it's bulky and not very attractive, it worked great. I left mine charging in a hotel room while on vacation... and of course, no found it in the room.
This time I thought I would try the Alta because I could change the band colors and supposedly read my texts.
Fitbit has always had bad reviews about the clasps, and the Alta is very hard to snap on.
The texts are a joke. I would feel the vibration and as soon as I looked at my Alta the text was streaming so fast and small, I couldn't read it, and it only shows once.
The feature that shows the time, when I lift my arm, does not work at all. I used to tap my Charge, the Alta I have tap three times harder.
I have never been able to get it to measure anything correctly. I would walk 9-11,000 steps and it would register .08 mile, and it didn't capture my sleep patterns like the charge.
The Alta is a piece of junk. Go back to the Charge. I wish they had a couple more colors to choose from. I guess Fitbit is marketing mainly to men.Read full review

I have had many fitbits. Te band kept breaking, and meant I could not use it, and they were good about replacing it, but it was a hassle. The last one, clipped to my pocket and I liked it, as I often take off my fitbit when my hands are full, shopping, etc... however, it fell out of my pocket, and I decided to try this one. Well, they finally solved the band breaking issue by making it easy to swap them out. I love the little reminders to move, as I work at a desk, and often sit for way too long... it is smaller than the older versions, and I am very happy with it...... now, I just get to update my motivation..... ;-)Read full review

Great tracker!
I love my Fitbit Ulta. Not only can I quickly and accurately monitor my activity, but I love how easy it is to click different bands on and off. I can have a different look every day. The silver bracelet options are really nice when I need to be dressier but don't want to give up my step counting. I had the Fitbit Flex for 2 years and I am very happy I decided to upgrade. I was never one to wear a watch but the Ulta doesn't feel bulky at all. The display is a bit hard to read when I am outside in bright sun, but otherwise I am very pleased with this purchase.Read full review

Fitbit Alta
I have had just about every Fitbit that is made. I like the Alta so far but it has only been 10 days.
*Battery life was about 6 days, that is great.
*The band is difficult to latch. It is not a regular watch type band. I will probably swap the band so it resembles a regular band closure.
*I love being able to read text messages and incoming call notifications on the Alta.
*I like the hourly reminders to move.

A little gem.
Really like the features. Also sent away for a magnetic mesh band it works much better than the original band that they come with. Much easier to remove and adjust for comfort throughtout the day.

Fitbit alta
Great fitness tracker! I love the ability to see text messages and that it has a silent alarm that's only noticeable to me and not anyone around me. The only thing I don't like is that the numbers can only have 2 digits so once I reach 10k steps, I can only see the 10 until I reach 11k, at which point I can only see 11, so on and so forth. I can just as easily look at the tracker app on my phone though so it's not a huge deal. I also which I could go back and read the messages if I missed them, but I just appreciate that my alta buzzes at me so I know I have a text when my phone is on silent. I LOVE the ability to change the accessory band and I like that's it's a skinnier face as opposed to the fitbit charge because it makes it blend in with my outfits a little more and doesn't seem as bulky and in the way. Overall I can really say I love this product! Each version has their pros and cons and this one fits me best :)Read full review
