Electric Cream!

I was first bought this album on vinyl back in '66, and absolutely loved it - its power, its sound: three great musicians at their youthful peak (remember Clapton was only 23 when Cream broke up - and hadn't he recorded some extraordinary stuff by then?). Jack Bruce was (is) a terrific, agile and inventive bass player with a hefty vocal sound - and a fiery harmonica player to boot - and of course Ginger Baker is a brilliant, wide-ranging drummer. Together, they were Cream - and this was their monster debut album - Fresh indeed.
This was the record I thrust upon all my school friends ("You gotta hear this!") - risking their needles on my precious vinyl - while I set about trying to emulate Clapton's licks on my newly acquired second-hand Burns Sonic guitar, through a cranked up 15 watt valve Watkins Dominator (they cost me just £20, the pair, then, from a friend. Today the Watkins Dominator is a £1000+ sought-after scarcity - wish I still had it).
Anyway, I was delighted to find a CD version of this album on Ebay - which I managed to bid for, and secured for just 98p! What a bargain!
A great record.... and a great purchase on the wonderful Ebay!
Spread the word!
