Always happy when I can do it myself.
A little more difficult to use than the you tube videos would have you believe, but with a little effort it works. High quality aluminum parts. The included keeper bag is the only thing that on the cheap side. Would make more sense to make it out a material of equal quality and put a flap on it. Directions are hard to follow, but if you watch the videos available on you tube they make sense. Makes it possible to re-build the check valve without even moving the tank. Given how cheap o-rings are, it would be nice if the manufacturer through in a few of each variety . Read full review

Fuel tool kit
It worked great the first time that I used it on a 2001 Harley Davidson Road king classic. But, the check valve has four “o” rings. By the time I got to the 4th one, the tools pick didn’t work very well. I ended up using a dental steel pick to remove the last “o” ring. Note: The tool kit works. I just think the cost is too expensive. Maybe it should have additional picks in case one gets damaged. I did some research & found that the picks are sold separately for approx. $16.00. Again, too expensive.Read full review

Paper clips and Wonderful Machined Tools
Getting old brittle O rings out sucked big time !! Took quite some effort getting all of it out with the use of a mirror and flushed it out good with some spray cleaner !! Took some patience and time !! Lube it up good and New O rings !! Installation was as designed smooth and easy !! Don't know how long the wire O ring remover scrapers will last or will bend up in use !! I have 6 bikes with 5 of em fuel injected !! I'll be getting some practice at it and get just as the video shows with better O rings to remove than the ones I just had I hope !! All and all is better to have this fuel tool for changing O rings than the expense and hassle changing the fitting I'm sure !!! This fuel tool is spendy in itself !! And yess the pouch is very much on the small side for it !! Great wonderful installation tool I must say !!!!Read full review

Harley fuel quick disconnect rebuild tool
If you are going to purchase the tool, I would recommend purchasing the fuel tool check valve repair kit. Tool is on the expensive side, however if you price out a new check valve assembly with tube, a new fuel clamp and a new fuel tank gasket to replace the tank cover the rebuild tool is cheaper and you do not have to disassemble the tank. I have a 2006 Springer Softail and the O rings were OEM, dry rotten, cracked and stuck in the O ring grooves. The O removal wires could be a little stiffer, but did the job. I had to use a hooked spring puller to get all of the small pieces out, but the tool worked to get the big pieces out.
Where the tool shines is for the check valve, spring and O ring installation. All parts are machined to the proper lengths for ease of installation of the check valve parts and O rings.
I removed and replaced all parts in about an hour and a half with no leaks. Harley recommends replacing the O Rings yearly due to the fuel additives breaking them down. I am not going to go that far.Read full review

Great tool!
The tool worked great for the lower oring. Had a lot of trouble with the inside ring. I'm sure it's just a matter of practice.
The tool pouch wasn't big enough to hold all the parts and lube.
Installation was easy.Read full review

looks good.. but didn't work.
We got this with great anticipation of being to ride again today. Well The tool would not take out The lower O rings but it did remove the upper o ring. It was able to install on of the upper o rings but will not install the second upper o ring. ( we have an 2001 so it has two check valves). when we tried to install the upper o ring the tool will not go all the up into the valve. the tool comes out bent because the sleeve is about as thick as a piece of paper. The springs are probably the problem because they come all bent up in the package. It will not install either of the lower o rings. So far this has been a total waste of money.Read full review

Great for install of o-rings.
This kit makes it very easy to install your new o-rings and check valves but is not helpful in removing the old brittle o-rings. Use a small pick to break up the hard o-rings and be sure to get all the little pieces out. The kit is worth the money for the easy install. Read full review

Fuel Tool MC 400
This tool worked so good I thought that somehow I mess up the o rings during installation but I didn't. The removal tools worked good. The O ring was removed from it's seat and was in the opening sideways but with using the tool a couple times would help give a feel for what the tool is doing. The installation of the new rings and the valve was very straight forward and worked perfectly the first time.
With the powers to be substituting alcohol in our gasoline, this tool is good to have on hand because the ethanol degraded all my O rings in the fuel system on my Harley, so I plan on replacing the O rings annually.Read full review

Not worth a 100 bucks
The tool basically did not work. The small hangers to grab the O rings bent very easy and did not pull them out as easy as indicated. Trying to put in the new check valve was a long process aswell. Not Happy or Satisfied with this product. Easier just to replace check valve line. I wanted 4 hours of my life....Read full review

A Must Have tool!
Well designed tool for the specific purpose of replacing the O-rings in the fuel line quick disconnect mechanism of my Harley Street Bob. They are difficult to remove after they become hard even with this tool!! I'd imagine it would be much harder without it and would probably need to remove the mechanism from the tank to do the job.
Putting the o-rings back in, is a snap with the tool. Be sure to watch the video from FuelTool on Youtube before starting the task and LUBRICATE the O-rings before starting the job as shown in the video.
I also bought the FuelTool Viton O-rings for the replacement. Hopefully they'll last longer!
