IT works

This is a generic run off the mill LSI-2008. And that's its strong point. I had no problems reflushing it to Initiator-Target (IT) mode, although the procedure is quite arcane. There are just two caveats - the bandwidth of the PCIe connection is lower than the aggregated bandwidth of its SAS interfaces, albeit by a relatively small amount 4GB/s vs 4.8GB/s. The second is that it tends to get uncomfortably hot. It doesn't seem to be a problem in my build but you should try to ensure good airflow around it.Read full review...

Works OK aftter reflash

Card came promptly, on good physical condition, not so much on the firmware side. Had to reflash the card, after which it is OK, supports large 2Tb+ drives and functions as expected.

One of the better LSI HBA designs

If you want a cross flashed LSI HBA, choose this one over the Dell Perc H200/310. The holes for the heat sink match with the standard chip-set cooler and there is a great selection of bigger and better heat sinks.Read full review...
